Yes. I run Amsoil fluids in my transfer case & both diffs.Anyone have experience with Amsoil ATF for the transfer case? It’s actually the fuel efficient versions that’s equivalent to Mercon LV. Just thinking I’ll add it to my order if I’m already getting the diff oil from them.
I did all of the above plus transmission at 10k then did the rear FDU again at 15k to get rid of all the wear metals from break in. I'll probably wait till 50k to do them all again.I just changed the fluids in my front & rear differentials, along with the transfer case. Have about 46k on it now. Change them all around 20k. Both front and rear oil was pretty dark with both magnets covered in fine metallic material. Transfer case looked great. I used amsoil products both times. How often are most of y'all changing these items?
This is a typical finding. At 35k (both hard on and off road miles, though no towing) I have changed them once (mileage somewhere in this thread). If I wheeled more in mud/water I would have done it again by now, but I'm thinking I won't do it again till 50k...maybe my 40 or 45k oil change if I get the motivationI just changed the fluids in my front & rear differentials, along with the transfer case. I use amsoil products exclusively in all my vehicles, and have done so for the past 12 years. I've had really good luck with their engin oil, differential oils, and transmission fluids. I haven't had any issues with an engine, transmission, or differentials. It costs more, but I tend to keep my vehicle's for awhile.Im about to hit 40k on my 21. New engine (2.7 v6 went kahblooey) so first oil change is coming up. I’m thinking of just doing them all right down the line. In my defense i got it with like 31k miles on it and it spent alot of time at the dealer or i would probably have done all the fluids then. Will reread this thread to get the deets on the right fluids. Looking to go full synthetic the whole way. Any advice is welcomed.
I’ve used amsoil, mobile one, and lucas in my past vehciles. Will definitely give amsoil a go in the bronco. Its good stuff. What happened to the engine in your bronco. Hope it was covered under warranty.
As far as oil filters go, I use the fram enduranceI’ve used amsoil, mobile one, and lucas in my past vehciles. Will definitely give amsoil a go in the bronco. Its good stuff. I like their gear oils.
My motor allegedly fragged during the valve recall test so it was covered. I say allegedly because there was a whole mess with how they wrote up the repair ticket. But i did get a new motor out of it.
Since i get to start fresh with the new motor i want to use good oil and filters.
As far as oil filters go, I use the Fram Endurance (FE11955) that is sold at Walmart. I've compared it side by side with the Amsoil filter and I'm pretty sure it's the exact same filter, and it's cheaper.I’ve used amsoil, mobile one, and lucas in my past vehciles. Warrranty just call FP up Ext 2 and send a copy pf receipt plus a pic - they will send a new one. This is depressing before and after just year or year and a half!
I guess a shitty paint job from the factory.

Parts don't carry a lifetime warranty. Owner said it's been a year and half. They can certainly try, but it should not be expected that Ford will just send a new one.Warrranty just call FP up Ext 2 and send a copy pf receipt plus a pic - they will send a new one.
Thats unbeleivable.
Given how simple it is to do, I'm going to be doing it every 25k miles on mine, which should align to about once every two years. Bought the PPE transmission pan for the drain plug function, and the rear diff FP cover for same reason. Might as well use it!I just changed the fluids in my front & rear differentials, along with the transfer case. Have about 46k on it now. Change them all around 20k. Thanks, I'll try just in case.Warrranty just call FP up Ext 2 and send a copy pf receipt plus a pic - they will send a new one.

Thanks, and I scanned over the warranty and they probably won't cover it, but like I toldParts don't carry a lifetime warranty. Owner said it's been a year and half. They can certainly try, but it should not be expected that Ford will just send a new one.
To @Bobio , there was a batch that seemed to have surface contamination prior to painting which led to the bubbling. At this point, you'll have to pull the cover and have it sandblasted and repainted. Good luck.
