Well blow me down, I missed the earlier threads as well.
Thanks for posting your experience/solution @tdhyden79 !
Could a "clutch pulsation damper" be a part of why the Bronco's clutch feels so spongy, "slow" to engage, vague, and how the engagement point seems to change between each shift...

At least this points to a basic aspect of suspension design - the whole system behaves differently at different points in its travel. a "lift" is (usually) a modification of where in that travel the suspension "sits" as it were. In addition, aftermarket spring/shock combinations...
As I learned, documented here:
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/forscan-battery-state-charge-bms-update-w-realtime-measurements.124050/
the Bronco's various modules (i.e. computers) slowly shut down after you turn your vehical off, such that significant amperage is being drawn in the...
I wondered if LR was going to make a production version of their class winning Dakar effort. This looks like the real deal, as I suspect the Octa's air suspension is replaced (as on the racer) with a real metal long-ish arm suspension. Too bad the wheels are not 18 inches or < (racer used...
Somebody has to be first ;) Seriously, yours is the first report that I can recall.
Having tracked these various manualT noise threads, my overall impression is the dealer tech's are very often "throwing s$%t on the wall and seeing what sticks".
yep, a test drive after that shock work would’ve been normal. Like I said, 12 miles in your area is nothing.
i’m not one to normally defend dealers either….
Assuming the test drive after the recall work was necessary, it would be pretty easy to add 12 miles in New Orleans, especially if he had to get up to highway speed.
Let's do it guys! We can have 22 pages of "me too" one liners, several pictures of the wrong part in your engine bays, and long manifesto's about random food likes/dislikes by Monday without even trying...
Removing panhard as an advantage is one of the bullet points:
"Eliminate your upper links and track bar! Gain incredible articulation with our 3-link system."
I assume the triangulation is enough for acceptable locating of the axle...but I'm no expert.
Another interesting aspect of Toyota's handling of this is that they are owning the falling reservoir's "road hazard to other motorists" reality, though personally I don't think it is a huge deal.
Ford if I recall did never acknowledged this.
I wonder how bilstein got caught with their pants...
Maybe the sarcasm got too personal somewhere? He is defiantly good for a laugh, but I don't recall him ever contributing anything of substance (maybe I just missed it). Still I don't think the mods pay that close of attention so had to be the formal I would think 🤷‍♂️
Thanks for posting this. As a formal resident of Louisville and someone who has significant family there, I hope this switchover is not a bust for the locals. Hard to imagine a niche EV and its production is better for the city then the gas truck/suv work (which was, is, and will be a much...
I was referring to @LSW analysis report - which is a direct measurement of wear occurring in his new-ish motor. Think of it as the "Protect" in the "Restore and Protect" marketing tag line.
Now that's value ;)
There are many who would for the oil's other attributes - it's superior wear characteristics in Ford's ecoboosts for example. Choice is a good thing, and $value$ is in the eye of the beholder...
Which begs the question, why would a person purchase a Bronco with the expectation that you will heavily rely on Ford's warranty - any of them?
Sure, if this is to be a commuter vehicle "appliance", choosen aesthetically but otherwise serves you as the equivalent of a Toyo Highlander...but if...
The active chemical(s) in Restore and Protect is for now a trade secret. However according Valvoline, and I suspect they are right, it is analogous to the polyether amine in (good - there are plenty of bad ones) fuel injector cleaners such as Chevron Techron and the better gas formulations...
