  1. Anybody buying motor oil in bulk?

I agree with you totally. Whatever I can do myself I take care of. Plus it's an excuse to get some new tools when I don't have what it takes to fix something.
  2. Anybody buying motor oil in bulk?

I believe in the Amsoil. I had a 2005 tacoma v6. Bought it used with 17k on it. At 231k I pulled both Valve covers because it developed a small leak on the passenger side. The inside looked almost like a new engine. Gave it to my son when he turned 16 and he drove it until he turned 20 with...
  3. Anybody buying motor oil in bulk?

I easily meet the 500 dollar a year threshold to get a free membership. I maintain 4 vehicles and change oil every 5000 miles. As a previous poster stated you could extend your oil changes using Amsoil SS. It's supposed to be good for 25k. I don't do that, but you could get your oil analyzed and...
  4. Anybody buying motor oil in bulk?

You can become a preferred customer for 25 bucks a year for Amsoil. You can order cases of oil from them. You can get 12 quarts to a case or 4, 1 gallon jugs to a case. If you spend 500 or more per year the membership is free.
  5. 2.7 Oil Catch Can / Air Oil Separator

I have a k&n catch can on my wife's 2.7 bronco. I do 5000 mile oil changes and I get about a teaspoon of oil at every oil change during hot weather. I get about 2 or a little more teaspoons during the winter, and it doesn't get super cold down here in South Louisiana
  6. Changed Spark Plugs on 2.7

Thanks for the info. Didn't know that. This the first turbo engine I've ever owned.
  7. 5 tire rotation is no joke!

I do all my own Maintenance, except rotating the tires. My local tire guy does it for free if you purchase tires from him. That's the safest, fastest, most economical way to get it done. Plus I get to shoot the bull and drink coffee with a bunch of old timers who hang out at the shop.
  8. Changed Spark Plugs on 2.7

I really didn't think replacing the plugs was going to do anything, especially after I got them out and looked at them, but it did. It runs alot smoother. I guess ecoboost engines prefer fresh plugs.
  9. Changed Spark Plugs on 2.7

Yes, spark plugs only. If you have a Sasquatch bronco you definitely need a stool to stand on. I used a magnetic 5/8" spark plug socket that swivels, and 2 6" extensions.
  10. Changed Spark Plugs on 2.7

I changed the spark plugs on my wife's 2023 2.7 bronco a couple days ago. All went well. Easier than a coyote plug swap. We only have 51000 on the bronco but it had started running ruff until the engine warmed up. The plug swap solved the problem. All the old plugs looked to be in good...
  11. What’s the one thing you ALWAYS bring on a road trip in your Bronco?

Water, a Henry lever action 44mag, and my personal sidearm.
  12. Bronco Sliding Glass Roof Revealed In Patent Filing

The question is can ford execute, and deliver a quality top. There track record on tops has been a complete disaster. I'm on my 5th recall on my bronco, and I'm still getting recalls on my 10 year old f150. Where does it end?
  13. REAL Maintenance Schedule

The front Differential and transfer case are very easy. Both have drain and fill plugs. You just need a 3/8" drive ratchet and short extension for those. The rear differential requires you pulling the cover to drain it. It's an easy job also, and the gasket is reusable. I recommend buying the...
  14. Got some new shoes today: Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT Tires in 35x12.5 r17

I have a outerbanks sas. How does the spare tire carrier handel the extra weight of the 35 12.50 Baha boss tires? I run these tires on my f150 and have had really good luck with them, so I would like to install a set on my wife's Bronco. My only concern is the extra weight on the bronco spare...
  15. Does anyone carry emergency food & water for unplanned overnight situations?

I always have a pistol on me, and my truck gun is of the reach out and touch someone variety. I have a several wheel guns, but I mostly hunt with those.
  16. Does anyone carry emergency food & water for unplanned overnight situations?

I have water, first-aid/trama kit, blanket, fire making kit, tire repair kit, 12v air pump, basic tool set, good pocket and fixed blade knife, and last but not least a firearm.
  17. 2022 Bronco Wildtrak transfer case backlash

Just had the same kind of noise on my f150. Ended up being a rock 🪨 in the brakes like Ducati1098 said. Jack it up and spin your wheels.
  18. Door pockets - least obtrusive?

I installed these a couple weeks ago. They work great
