Bilstein 5100s compressed are 17.11, bumpstops may help, but I think I'll drop the idea for now.
Yep, I'm on the fence now. Then again it's a pretty simple install...In the name of science I may give it a shot for the hell of it.

I think I'll try the Rock Jock myself even though my lift is closer to @dgorsett 's than yours. The rear shimmy has always bugged me since the lift and I chalked it up to the stiffer springs, and they probably do play a part, but if the riser bracket helps it would be nice.

Compared to Fabtech, Rock Jock's look pretty thin and cheesy. I think I'll put a couple stitch welds on it as well instead of counting on that tiny arm.

Will do, but I might get the OME instead. Northridge carries them and I'll be dropping by their store next month. But OME says it doesn't fit 2dr....

Rock Jock says:
  • Base Model = +2 in. lift
  • Badlands Model = +1 1/2 in. lift
  • Sasquatch Package (any model) = +1 in. lift
I think @PWillette and I both meet that.

I have the Ford Performance 2" Lift aka Bilstein 6100s.

Without the trac bar relocation bracket I was getting rear bump steer.

After the bracket, it drove much better.

Then two days later, aka TODAY, I installed the rear sway bar and with both of those, the driving dynamics are night and day different. No more rear bump steer, no more pogo stick, no more uneasy rear end feeling, way less body roll, less nose dive under braking.

I highly recommend doing both. A rear sway bar is still good for offroad in case you are worried. It can actually help the front end flex out more (Front sway bar disconnected).

It's the compressed length that's the issue. I haven't seen a strut with a compressed length longer than what's required, though I admit I haven't looked at the specs on some of the pricier options.

They state the issue is potential contact with frame. If you plan to use one, I'd get the rear flexed out to see if it's an issue before your start hitting trails.

make sure you’re looking at not just the compressed length of the shock but also including the length of the bump stop installed. Icon offers a bump stop extension for their setup for people running 37” tires.

I think it was Bigmeats that removed a lot of his bump stops to get more travel and hasn't mentioned any issues.

I have a 1.25" spacer on top of my rear shocks which is effectively a bump stop extension as well.

This is what I've been thinking, I haven't looked lately but think my bump stops are 2"+-, so my 17= inch Bilsteins should be fine.

Thing to remember when cutting bump stops on the Bronc. Be EXTREMLY careful when attempting any kid of "baja" runs. It allows lots of wheel travel but no more "cushion" for the whoops. If you are into that kind of thing. Slower trails and/or needing wheel travel it works like a dream.

After lifting my Badlands 1.5", I definitely noticed the body roll. I installed the RJ track bar bracket to level the bar, and to help center the axle a bit more. It made a significant difference in overall handling, and while my axle isnt perfectly centered, my thrust angle is minimal, tenths, or hundredths of a degree.

I have the Fabtech Track Bar and Riser Bracket on mine with 3" lift. Track bar is level.
Track Bar and Bracket are very beefy and solid.

No noise and the extra wiggle in the rear end is gone.

Did you ever get the OME one? How’d it work out?

I’m also looking at it or the RJ or Boss (looks similar to the RJ design). I currently have 2.5” of lift, but the compression of my ADS coulovers appear to be too much for the RJ recommendation…

Anyone have the specs of the HOSS 3.0 Fox shocks? Considering the RockJock relocation but not sure of the compression of the shocks.

I ended up with a Boss4x4 bracket. Putting it on next month.
