I reached out to Turn off road today and they told me their tie rods do work with the Hoss 3.0 steering rack but you have to shim them, so that's good.
You’re really too hell bent on running the Turn tie rods. You really should spend some time reading the many steering rack and tie-rod threads, because at least here, among those who do and know, the sentiment (among some) is the Ford performance 3.0 tie rods are plenty strong, Anything stronger may break the rack before the tie rods and we would much rather re-replace a tie rod than the rack…Especially on the trail.

Just replaced our steering rack on the trail. Can confirm that the tierods are easier to change than the entire rack. Who knew?

If anyone is curious on how long it took-84 minutes start to finish. Including unloading tools. We’ve swapped a few of them but also took the time to clean the tierod threads with a pick. Your results might be better…or not…

If it took y’all 84 minutes, I’m sure it would take me three times that, and who carries a spare rack? Well yall of course. Lol.

When you have parts from 74weld it’s probably best to always have spares…

I don't think I will run Portals but anything is possible and I already bought Icon tie rods as a spare.

It took @mpeugeot and I like six hours in a driveway. 84 minutes is some NASCAR pit team speed!!

Packed a Hoss 2.0 for a few years and now caring a pre-programed Hoss 3.0 if I plan to wheel.
