So you're looking for a similar equipped vehicle or exactly equipped same size screen, same number of doors, same type of transfer case same transmission without the sway bar.... get the VIN and then download the as-built and compare against yours, I thought it was in the ABS module but @Ducati1098 corrected me and IIRC it's in a different module., probably awd module.

Yeah you may need to make edits in multiple modules, I’m not sure as I’ve never tried it. But the CHCM (chassis control module) is what controls the sway bar disconnect.
It also uses input from the PCM, ABS and SIMA

I’ve got a 22 Badlands with the 2.3 and I’ve been trying to get an answer for this for months… has this worked for anyone? Or does anyone know someone that can do it?

Yeah, let’s just totally de-engineer everything because we’re bored? Why do you want to get rid of arguably the defining feature of your trim package?? I will never understand human nature. Sell it and go buy an overpriced POS earlier generation. Second hand 6th gens will all be Frankensteins at this rate.

You are not your trim. A Badlands rig is not a push button sway bar disconnect with an off road vehicle wrapped around it.

The disco is an albatross and not the defining feature of the Badlands (that would be the skid plates and Rock Crawler mode). I want the Antirocks and will need a delete like @Felix808 so I'll be following this thread. Crazy you can't just take it out when it goes out or outlives it's usefulness and you want to go in another direction.

There are reasons I'm glad I have my 23 Badlands Sas but the disco ain't it. It's convenient, sure, but the Antirocks or Carli's are simply a better approach, and even MORE convenient (passive vs. active).

I know this is an old post, but I had a car with “active aero” which was an air dam that would deploy at speed. It also controlled the rear spoiler that would flip to provide more downforce.

the air dam would get bashed by nearly any driveway or parking curb and cause the ecu to throw codes and basically stop working.

most people would swap the connection for the front air dam motor with a plug that includes a resistor.

im guessing the same could be done here, then rewire the sbd to one of the aux switches. No programming required. Just bench test the sbd when on and off to see what the ecu is expecting.

Disconnect it from the computer (if equipped) and run it with an aux switch.

AFAIU, there's a jumper you run to make it think it's still connected. Somebody on this or another thread talks about how they did it.

I added a electronic swaybar to our WT...we could use it at any speed. However, this is a different scenario because the computer never was expecting any data from a.swaybar.

statements like this are a insult to human kinds sense of curiosity and the desire to learn, improve, modify , customize or fix anything we feel fit for... why did you even buy a bronco? Certainly not because the chassis and design lends itself to heavy modifications and Aftermarket accessories including those offered by the factory. And the ability to delete certain things like the roof or doors or in this case hopefully the stupid sway bar.

everything can be improved on....for example if Ford wanted to do something original and better than Jeep here, then they should not have just copied the other manufacturers design. they should have improved on the design by adding spider gears in the center....beating the other OEMs solid axle articulation with a swaybar reverser is totally possible.

What! are you trying to tell us to exercise the few remaining freedoms we have and do as we please with our own vehicle? . And Ford engineers are not all-knowing?

Raptor as-built will allow SWAYBAR disconnect up to 40mph (instead of 20mph)
