Easiest: gearshade sub box and amp, plug and play kits adapter.
Jlaudio custom sub box
best: Mobridge dsp/amp, sub of your choice.
Others have also fit a 6.5” or 8” into the stock sub box.
I personally am aiming for the gear shade kit since the Mobridge doesn’t fit without a lot of work on...
The problem i had when i got mine done at the dealer is that they didn't want to do anything else. I wanted to order the ford performance tune, get diff oils replaced, look into some rattles and issues...nope. after they brought my car up and i was literally paying the guy, and i was begging...
Get snow tires until you’re in the positive on that car loan. The bronco being as heavy as it is will do worse in street snow driving unless you’re driving through snow banks.
what other cabling did you need besides power and ground? Are you using high-level input from the B&O amp sub output or something else?
Did you need to make any adjustments to get the 500.1 to receive full-range input?

May I direct you to Range Rover Defender my good gentleman.
I ripped all of my cds to a Synology. It has an app “ds audio” that works in CarPlay that lets me stream my music from the Synology to my bronco.
you can also use you iTunes app on your PC to sync songs to your iPhone. It’s not all of them but you can set it up to rotate songs automatically...
I also have the version with the raised back and it was noticeable better. Than without.
OPs version doesn’t look like it would do anything except protect against rocks to that exact area.
Rats and mice don’t care about ultra sonic deterrents. It might bother them once or twice but an engine compartment is a good place to call home.
the soap trick doesn’t seem to work either. I’m not sure where that came from. I’ve heard over and over that mice have eaten it.
besides storing...
I rarely open my hood, and wing nuts or some other simple disconnect would make good access simple. It’s not like you would be putting a lot of stuff on it.
