Bdbdbdbdbdbdbd UPDATE!!! Bdbdbdbdbdbdbd 11-3-23

So I was able to play around in the garage a little & here are my findings:
When you unplug it the only code / warning lights that come on is a message to service Sta-bar. You click the OK button it appears to be good. No DTC codes what so ever. Awesome!!!! Right ???

Not so fast my friends. A quick turn of the mode dial & no drive modes are available. Meh.
Shifts to 4L ( Forgot to try 4H & 4A) F& R Lockers Engauge, Trail turn assist lights up like it's going to work. Traction control pops up . Notification pops = Advance trac disabled ( Not sure if this is fully disabled, but I tried the hold the button to fully deactivate as shown by Loren & Vaughn but have never seen it work on my truck 🤷‍♂️ Anyway looks like the only real side effects are having to acknowledge the service light & the loss of any & all GOAT modes.

Can I live with that  Maybe if it came down to paying for a replacement & I prove the other functions in the field, but not right now.
So the challenge still stands 🤠

Here is a challenge for all you Programming Gurus:
Find how one can delete the automatic sway-bar without causing any trouble lights or other electronic adverse affects other than the difference in handling.

I'm getting tired of mucking with this thing every time I work on my axles. It would also be nice to have the ride smoothed out in 2H & 4H & not always having to be in 4L to disconnect. I also want to be ready for when this boat anchor dies as it is not light.

I've driven a decade plus with no sway-bars on my XJ as I got tired of disconnecting them all the time. I have no problem taking responsibility for my driving.

Can this be done...I hope so 🤠

For more information, call 1-900-BIG-MEAT. Small $49.99/minute charge will apply.

Do whippersnappers even know what a 1-900 number is these days? 🤔

I think it will work if you unplug the CHCM, then flash ABS and AWD w/asbuilt for wildtrak. (then you gotta do the P160A relearn BS, but O well). You could then just wire the drive rod valve + and - to an aux switch for manual control

Hey guys really appreciate the effort put into this.

The more I think about it I kind of have reserve tossing the sway bar as long as it's working. Yeah it's heavy & a pain to remove & put back when pulling axles or the coil overs, but then I think to myself how often am I doing that

Reading through @Dusty's post about his findings at speed down the hi-way when loaded up really made me pause & think about times running through canyons at speed in my XJ without sway bars & getting a shimmy here & there that would get my attention

Another concern is having an exposed plug. Yeah I can tape it up & such but this video comes to mind and I don't need issues I don't have 🐔.

Right now I have the best of both worlds. It's working now so there really is no reason to chuck it.
If it does fail I'm not going to replace it and is the main reason behind the challenge to find a solution, for which @BigMeatsBronco is confident he has found 🙏

I appreciate everyone's efforts & may need the info down the road.

Alright I'm ready, let me have it

No fair posting late on a Friday... lol

I get it, things can sound good or even exciting and then, waaaait... I just want to be able to remove it when it's no longer replaceable under warranty. Right now I don't think we could do that until @BigMeatsBronco and @Bmadda have a workable plan... lol

Why are you removing your sway bar to replace axles or coilovers? I have had all that stuff apart on mine and have never removed the sway bar. Didn't need to pull it to pull the tranny either (MT).

If I ever do end up ditching it, @BigMeatsBronco has dibs on mine. Chances are it won't work by then, but all the same 🤠

I’ve been shopping junkyards for FEs, raptors, and badlands. Found a raptor today in WI they’re parting out. Fingers crossed I get a response.
