I’ve already replaced a broken front differential off-roading smart ass. How would one break an engine pray tell?
Not being a smart ass, just saying what could go wrong. And running oversized tires and I run 37s, could lead to premature failure of the cam phasers. And basically all the Ford engines have phaser issues, some sooner than later. Just trying to let the OP understand what he could be dealing with, that’s all

Concern is noted. But engine damage is a far reach. Yes he needs to know what he’s in for.

I am just looking for some insight on how big of a tire I can actually go... I have a 2 door Sasquatch with a 3inch Zone lift, looking into getting a 1.5inch body lift as well. I have aftermarket wheels that have a small bit of offset vs the stock wheels. I see some people have 37s, 38s and I know those are 75lb-85lb a tire, up from the 52lb stock Goodyear's, and the 40s I am looking at are 90lb. I do go fart around off-road from time to time, nothing too serious and yeah... Any info on what I am going to need to slap the 40s on would be good.

I understand what you are saying BUT trying to connect cam phaser issues to oversized tires? really? kind of like saying changing your shocks is going to cause an electrical overload.... now wait a minute... what did I say? I think I need to be better grounded.

Sorry I said anything. Possibilities to me could mean anything / everything. Carry on.

Dude... I was having fun... you are right though.... You start making the changes necessary to run big tires you damn well be ready to fix stuff.... And it ain't cheap.... I personally know this. I am agreeing with you.... Just saying the cam phasers and well even the engine issues are a bit stretching it.... Everything else though... I think you are on point.

Man I pray my engine takes a shit, I hope he's right and 40's do kill engines.
Bout the only way I'm putting a V8 in there is if I "need" a new engine, if for some unfortunate, mysterious, reason the stock one somehow died.
As it is my wife already gives me serious stink eye if I even utter the words "I need" and "for the Bronco" in the same sentence.

I’m not sure why you wud want the monsters other then looks… and others are right be prepared to either build up stuff or break it.. no haters pls just my opinion, btw I wheeled a tacoa,, built , on 33’s.. in the NE woods and did fine, teaches you to be a better driver then point and throttle thru , again just my opinion , my taco

My buddy caused his 2.0L turbo Wrangler Rubicon engine to overheat and fail. The Jeep Dealership (drink 🍻 ) blamed him by saying he was in the wrong gear (2nd) while off-roading and didn't have enough rpm for proper cooling efficiency...... 🤷‍♂️

Ok, so you gotta follow me, I only got so much red twine and pushpins...

"Say" you were to get out a trail with your buddies. "Say" you were get hung up on a boulder the size a Great Dane's :poop:. "Say" while trying to break free you fried the front diff, spun around and a petrified ("say" you were in a petrified forest ;)) stick jams up in your trans pan. "Say" you didn't notice, blew the trans trying to get out and, dang, "say" you got stuck on a ledge getting out as your buddy towed you. "Say" you get out, forget to put it in park ("say" I don't know if this makes sense) and it starts to roll backwards and off the cliff, taking you and your buddies rides off the 1,000ft drop. "Say" you have a third friend who gives you a ride home next in the back with the smelly Great Dane.

I would "say", in that case, you need a new engine. I mean, it's obvious! 🤔
