Good to see another thread on this. I've had the same problem intermittently and took it in, but dealer said no stored codes, nothing they could do. It recurred again last week so I took some pics (and video) to bring to them.
Warning came on during cold start up (not cold day), and BRAKE light stayed on for between 5-10 minutes. It went away on its own, while I had the vehicle on.
2023 2.7TT, OBX Advanced.

Just got mine back from the dealer. They said it is the brake fluid level switch. Had to order parts. I believe that is what the service writer said. But once I get the part changed out I’ll report back.

So, after having the light come on 2x in one day, I opened the hood and took a look at the brake fluid reservoir, I found the cap wasn't very tight, as in it still had 1/2 turn more to secure it nice and tight. They I pushed on the vacuum hoses to try to secure them on better. Not sure if this will help but so far light hasn't come back and it's been 2 weeks. I'll update again if I see the light again.

(added updated post below, light came back again)

Back from the dealer and so far so good no light or warning. Fingers crossed the sensor/switch was the culprit. I thought it was funny it would reset the light would go out and no issues with the brakes and five minutes later it would go off again. Let’s hope we fixed it!

Now , im the one having this problem. Light message comes on at 65mph, the brake light goes on and the brake peddle gets hard to press on. Right now my bronco is at the dealer ship, they said it was the brake booster, they replaced it, but didnt fix the problem. i'm waiting for them to tell me that it is fix. It's been over a week already. I MISS MY BRONCO. baby bronco loaner ain't cutting it.

UPDATE: 6 days later the light came on again, then of course went away again before I could get to the dealer.

Does anyone know why this vacuum line replacement part 2420 is NOT covered under Ford's Premium Care Extended Warranty - or - why this vacuum seal issue is NOT covered directly by Ford? Seems the issue is well documented (NHTSA: ID 10226759) and a TSB, not a result of normal wear and tear, and a huge safety issue. I have 43K miles on my 2022 2.3 OBX and am experiencing similar issues.. including the brake pedal pushing back up at me when stopped at a light.

With auto start/stop on, when I am at a light and apply the brake, the engine shuts off, the pedal will slowly push back up at me until it reaches a certain height at which time the engine will restart and the pressure pushing back up at me will be released and the pedal will go back down. This will recur every time I stop at a light.. Check braking system light comes, including audible tone.

Dealer charged me $199 to 'diagnose' the issue only to tell me it is not covered. I dont trust that the dealer has my best interests in mind and may not be advocating on my behalf regarding the extent of what is required for the 'fix' to my braking system.. Dealer said part is #MB3Z2420. Subsequently, Dealer wants to charge me ~$700. Same Dealer who just changed my oil and didnt secure the oil cap so found oil sprayed all over my engine compartment.... How can I trust them..

I had this same behavior on my '24.
I had the truck checked for the brake error code and supposedly they couldnt recreate it the code was 3 weeks old in the system. So they reported that they did nothing. Strangely enough, i dont believe i have had the issue since and Auto-start-stop seems to work better at lights and i dont notice the push-back. But i thought that could be because it hasnt been as hot here since they supposedly didnt do any service to address the issue.

It's just not something that's covered unfortunately.
It has a TSB, but that doesn't extend the warranty. It's only covered under 3/36
Your best option is to contact Ford and ask them, maybe they'll give you some assistance in getting it covered. Nobody on here is going to be able to do that though.

Thanks @Ducati1098 - Quite a frustrating situation. I've reached to Ford they have been responsive so far...

Unfortunately this just happened to me today. 2024 2.3/MT Badlands with 14k miles (took delivery Jan. 2024). Left home for an errand....Brake system error happened after accelerating relatively aggressively on a highway on ramp. Pulled off, tried putting parking brake on/off, powered off, still there. Went grocery shopping, with the car off for about 20 minutes. Problem did not re-appear upon restarting the Bronco...but did re-occur about 15 minutes later on the way home. No noticeable loss in brake function.

Am taking into dealer tomorrow - will report back.

Brought my 2024 2.3L/MT Badlands into my local dealer for this issue. They had to order a part (vacuum check valve sensor assembly). No issues since then....have driven approx 300 miles since then, local, highway, mild trail...and has not re-occurred. Fingers crossed.

In my case, I never had any noticeable loss of brake performance when the warning came on.

Here is the summary per the sevice advisor/service invoice:

I have the same issue. Just started this Fall. 21k miles. Badlands, manual tranny. Check break system seems to come on around 65mph.
The electric break system going non-power during the stoplight auto cutoff process is super annoying.

Just took mine in today for this same issue, told the service advisor I didnt feel safe, they offered a loaner thankfully and said it would be a few days. i told them to check out the airbag trim on the doors that is splitting and the window squeak in the rear while they have it there. looking at some of these time periods to get fixed, i guess ill have an f-150 for a bit.

Mine started with the message again and no brake problems. They said it was the abs module that tested bad. Three days at the shop, picked it up tonight and no issues on the way home. Again fingers crossed no more issues!
