My Bronco came with the tow package but I don't see a tow/haul mode button/switch. both my F150 and Explorer had this and it is nice how it changes the shift points to keep the rpm up when towing and not lug the motor and tans so much. I have searched and can't find it or even much in the owners manual. What do you do when towing? Use sport mode? Manually shift to keep the rpm's up a little? Am I just missing it?

Given the Bronco’s tow weight limitation of 3,500# due to the suspension, rather than power, I don’t think tow mode is needed.

It doesn’t have a Jake Brake either. Or a brake controller. And it doesn’t require DEF.

my Explorers limit was 3500 also and it was very useful....I towed about 1000-1200 lbs. with the Bronco once already and could tell it needed it.

Put it in sport mode... it will hold gears longer.

If it’s the factory equipped tow package, when you plug in a trailer to the harness it puts itself into tow mode.
What all happens I’m not sure. I noticed it turns off the backup sensors and gets horrible gas mileage. I did not observe anything else as I only towed an empty trailer once so far.
I have my f250 for towing.

I haven't towed anything very far with ours, the most I did was haul my FIL's walleye boat about 1/4 mile down to the marina to launch/retrieve it. Bronco did an amazing job, the short wheel base made maneuvering a DREAM.

Was I probably way over on the tow rating? Yeah. Did we ever get over 15 mph? No. Would I want much more than that behind the Bronco? Also no. It didn't squat much but you definitely knew it was back there, even for that short trip.

However, it's good to know that it apparently puts itself into a tow mode. Perhaps one day we might get a small overland camper for it if I can convince the wife to go without a few conveniences.

As others have written, there is no manual tow/haul mode that can be selected. It can be enabled with ForScan, but then it throws errors, which indicates that Ford never implemented that drive mode.

Sport mode is most likely the best mode as it will hold gears longer and is more aggressive with down/grade shifting.

I got a trailer brake controller installed, and pulled a widebody Ironhorse trailer carrying a trike and a bunch of gear down to Florida from Wisconsin with my 21 Badlands Sasquatch 2.7L. Absolutely no issues at all. Didn't change modes. Traded that Bronco in for a 24 Raptor, and I'm having the brake controller installed in the new rig before we head back up to Wisconsin.

Unfortunately NOT....asked the same question too when I received my 22 BL/SAS with factory tow package. One of those things I didn't think I needed to ask about when ordering....considering it came standard on F150's with factory two package......bummer.
