13,000 driving miles along with 8,000 being towed behind my motorhome, rotate every 5,000 to 6,000 miles and mine still look really good. Lots of wheeling and a couple 1,000 miles on dirt roads. As others have said they donāt pick up nearly as many rocks after 6 to 7,000 miles.
I ordered my 2-door with the OEM rack and replaced that with a TrailRax shortly after taking delivery. I needed the Rotopax mounting capability due to the tiny fuel tank; not enough capacity for back country trips around Nevada.
I towed a little over 2,000 miles before the EBB fix and more than 5,000 miles since the fix to disable the EBB. During these trips the Bronco was placed in and taken out of flat tow mode over 40 times. My software was successfully updated via Fordās OTA update system while my Bronco was parked...
I like mine, finish is holding up well after 18 months. Iāve connected my motorhome tow bars to it via the shackle mounts and have towed the Bronco 7,000 miles doing that and Iāve also used my winch a few times. Iāve also got Baja Designs Squadron Sport lights installed and they fit perfect. I...
Get these and you wonāt need to remove crossbars. The price more than doubled since I bought them but a few minutes searching should turn up less expensive options.

Iāve got nearly 7,000 miles of flat towing my 2.7 liter, automatic Bronco under my belt and this includes going into and out of flat tow mode over 40 times. There have been a few times putting the Bronco into or taking it out of flat tow mode that I missed a step but caught myself and started...
One of a kind and thereāll never be another! Heās right up there in the stratosphere with the likes of Tom Petty and other great American musicians.
Iāve got more than 3,000 miles off road with 500 of those being jeep trails with my Bronco. Nothing really extreme, just backcountry travel in the western mountains. Before that Iāve got 45+ years (damn Iām getting old...) of driving experience. My only good use for the cameras is when Iām on a...
I also hunt and on recent archery cow elk and antelope hunts in Nevada, the Bronco unfortunately stayed at home and I took my full size pickup with a shell.
I tent camp but my little two door simply doesnāt haul the gear I want to take; the big coolers for early season meat hauling being the...
Supplemental brake systems shouldnāt be getting power from your Bronco, this should come from the RV, but if it does get power from the Bronco you need to install a charge line from your RV to the Bronco.
Sucks for those having issuesā¦.
Makes me happy I had the shop that installed my Air Force 1 brake system add a charge line from my motorhome to the Bronco. This runs off the 7th pin of the coachās trailer plug so thereās no additional wire running from the coach to the Bronco.
I also take the...
A few reasons:
We needed a vehicle to tow behind our motorhome and had planned on buying a Jeep but:
1) The Bronco is cool!
2) Iām 6ā6ā and donāt fit into Jeeps. Iāve got just enough room in my 2-door Bronco and itās comfortable.
3) My older brother, who died unexpectedly a few years ago...
As a boat owner whoās wired a couple of fishing boats, Iād recommend marine grade heat shrink butt connectors. At least thatās what Iād use. I think they do a better job of sealing the wires and preventing water invasion than traditional butt connectors with heat shrink tubing over the top of...
After trips into the dusty and/muddy Nevada back country I use a pressure washer with a foam cannon for the outside. For the inside, I open all the doors and back end and blow out the inside with an electric leaf blower. I applied top end ceramic coating by GTechniq shortly after delivery early...
You asked for opinions soā¦..
I think itās dumb and is right up there with never used recovery boards, empty Rotopax, a shovel and a Hi-Lift jack riding around on rig full time getting ruined by the elements on a rig thatāll likely never have the need to use any of it.
