This is about what our '24 BD SAS does. On rural highways (marked 55-65) it gets its best mileage, I've seen as high as 23 if I'm running about 58 mpg. Above 65 (expressways) it begins to tank, at 70+ you can forget about the first number being a 2, it's definitely going to be a 1.
In town...
Not a surprise, NYPost is a headline-grabber that leaves a LOT of details out just to stir up controversy.
Frankly we need to get back to news reporting that reports ALL the facts, not just what grabs headlines. But there's no money in that.
Yep, that line right there - Ford, like any OEM or insurance company, will look for ANY way to get out of paying. They're in business to make money, and the easiest way to do that is to charge money and not pay it out.
The 'cost' of your warranty is rolled into the price of every vehicle Ford...
Regardless, the dealer is still correct - that's not warrantable. The damage could have been avoided with proper disassembly techniques that I've done in my own garage. Your options are to pay to replace yourself, or try to hold your mechanic accountable for the damage. From reading the convo...
It's going to vary based on what the vehicle is, how it is transported, where it's going, etc. etc.
My Tremor had 4 miles on it at delivery.
My wife's Expedition had 30+ miles on it at delivery because a local dealer drove it up to our dealer (dealer swap), but the initial inspection at that...
Actually has 23 posts, almost all in vehicle tracking threads.
Unfortunate that he expected an off-road vehicle with a removable top to be quiet and roomy inside.
Recalls and warranty issues are a legit complaint...but the rest reads as someone with expectations that could never be lived up to.
A piece of metal like that (which is aluminum) is 100% from machining of the oil filter adapter that didn't wash out when it went through the final cleaning before being shipped to assembly. It was likely 'wedged' in there where it couldn't be seen with a quick eyeball inspection, so it passed...
As others have said, make sure it's completely checked out - this often means removing interior panels and sometimes wheel well liners to look for any damage - perhaps the bumper too. There could be a LOT of hidden damage that, while it's not obvious, will show up in body lines that won't quite...
You're right, you can get downloaded areas on Google maps (and Apple maps), which on-boards them to your phone. The nice thing about built-in GPS with onboard maps in the dash is that it's not using up phone memory.
And frankly...unless you don't use a phone, and unplug the data-sending...
The dealer should be able to do SOMETHING for you. What, I don't know, but they've got some leeway.
The last used truck I bought (been a WHILE), came with a 3k mile parts warranty. It was a 6.0 PSD. Turbo unison ring locked up, took them a week to diagnose, wanted me to pay full price despite...
I don't know about in the Bronco because we never used it, but if you're towing in some vehicles, it will warn you about bridge heights ahead. That can be handy when hauling a large load or an RV...but with how little the Bronco is rated to tow, I don't know that it would ever be a helpful...
Yeah, parking lots are terrible, mostly because if you've got something nice, everybody with a beater wants to park next to you. Like dude keep your junk away from me and stop trying to door ding me.
This is absolutely my take on it. I LOVE getting out on a country road with a manual and putting the hammer down. Driving for long periods, working the corners, etc. It's the most fun one can have.
But as I get older and more of my younger-days injuries start to catch up, driving one every day...
I love my manuals, I really do. I wish our Challenger was one. I miss my old '68 Firebird with the Muncie 4-speed.
But after a 10 hour day at work, I am tired. I don't want to shift. I just want to get home and relax.
I have known truck drivers who don't own a single manual...
I mean they're within 3 lbs of each other, so they're actually pretty close. But I get it - I'm picky as well and like them to be within 1 lb of each other. They are on my truck.
That said, if I check them after my truck has been sitting at work all day, one side will be 3-4 lbs higher than the...
Even in my home state there's different regulations depending on what the particular place you're trying to drive is. For instance, MOST routes (because a lot of SxS's and 'trail rigs' are too wide for actual trails, per state rules) if you're running a licensed/registered vehicle with a plate...
When we were buying ours, our salesman had recently sold a white one. The purchasers apparently brought a magnet in when they picked it up that said 'juice approved' with his face on it. He showed us the picture.
I shouldn't have chuckled, but I did.
If your state lets you get that many...
Definitely going to be cheaper to buy the painted top option from Ford instead of getting the MIC top.
Couple that with a lot of people are having cracking issues with the MIC top, and I'm not sure how well the MIC top is going to take to being prepped for painting, since it isn't intended to...
Lots of good points in this thread, but I wanna call this one here out - because it's absolutely true.
There's a Walmart everywhere, and a majority of them anymore have a tire/service center. They typically will do mounting and balancing for free IF you are buying the tires there. They're not...
