i marked mine after installer set gains ..so if i change bass for top off i know where to put it back to with top on

Not at my bronco currently, but mine is mounted left of the power window switch on the center console. Easy to adjust without ever looking down for the knob.

Virtually out of sight and within easy reach. I adjust mine fairly regularly depending on the song or type of music I'm playing, so I wanted it very accessible from the driver seat.

No, I had it installed

I found where to not mount it. Super convenient to reach and install with sub under the seat, but I kept kicking the cable out while getting in.

Taller inner knob is for bass level, shorter outer ring is for fader. Professionally installed. You may need to modify or replace the Kicker knob housing.

Can you share how much of the center console had to be disassembled to do that?

Mine is in the same spot - ZERO disassembly - you can route wires under the carpeting and behind there with no issue and then wedge the loose wire in the gap and behind the panels once ready to finish.
