I am slowly starting to make bronco content for installations and my mod journey. Do any of you guys that make content have camera and or mic suggestions?

There are many options available and loads of reviews on here (Search 'Camera'). It will definitely come in handy if you ever need it. The one I got is overly complicated to get footage off of it. The wife got a Garmin Mini 2 and it seems to be easier on that front. It also comes with 10' of power cable to route around the windshield and down to the dash.

There are companies who make great dash cams for the Bronco that replace the housing around the rear view mirror and plug directly in to the power source within it. No running cables, no dangling cam below the mirror, you can’t even see it unless you’re outside looking in to the windshield. Same as stock, but now there’s a cam lens facing the road out of that OEM-looking housing. It’d be helpful if I remembered the names of those but I’m sure a search will reveal that. And it’s like a 15 minute install.

I use a combination. I just upgraded to iPhone 17 Pro. I have a WolfBox G900 Pro. And sometimes I use an old cheap knockoff of a GoPro action cam.

My highest viewed video (nearing 1M views) on IG was taken with the WolfBox G900 Pro. Moral of the story: Great content (and a hook to keep viewers watching past 3 seconds) is more important than the best camera.

Depending on what phone you have you could just use that and save some money for mods. My fiancée makes a lot of homemaking/baking videos and we just use her phone (iPhone 13 Pro). It shoots 4k in 60 fps. I also use DaVinci Resolve to edit them all.

It would be great if you could remember the brand names.

He's not asking about dash cams. He wants a GoPro/camera/mic recommendation to make YT content about his mods. At least that is the way I comprehend the question...
Yes lol that is exactly what I’m asking about

I use cheap GoPros for my action shots that are likely to break a camera. A mini 4 pro is a perfect drone if you want that stuff. For the talking shots, hero shots and great overall filming: a pocket 3 is amazing paired with a simple DJI mini mic.

this was filmed entirely with my pocket 3 and the drone shot was a DJI Air3S which is probably overkill for most people.

again, as stated above though. The story and audio trump video quality though. I’m still learning but I enjoy it.

I’ll also add, I had the new iPhone 17 pro and it takes AMAZING photos for a phone. I use it for my IG, my thumbnail pics and even as a backup camera now that it shoots d-log since I color grade. That being said, I don’t recommend using it for your main film camera as you will quickly be annoyed by the transfer process and by how much space your videos will take up filming in 4K. Better to have dedicated film cameras with SD cards.
