Buy a used takeoff from someone who bought a Bronco with both stock hardtop and stock softtop but never use the softtop. Make sure to get the softtop hardware with the softtop
It's been solid for me. On driver's side, I mount EDC items. On the passenger side, I zipped tied a VHF radio for a 5 day run thru Baja. No rattles. Held my gear in place.
Too funny! I’m currently in the middle of a very similar trek. I started from Northern Virginia and had a friend from DC ride with me on my cross-country trip. I am driving a 2024 bronco raptor and pulling a Futura trailer with a heavily modified 1967 VW beetle. I planned the trip several months...
Gaahh! Also a good spot but I’ve got a mini bull bar mounted on the bumper. I’m not sure I’ll use a whip (I don’t recall that being required for this EXO Baja Mitad run).
Any recommendations for VHF antennas, mounts quick disconnects, etc?
Looks like a great setup and I like the quick disconnect. I should have mentioned I have a WolfBox G900 TriPro and the rear camera is tucked right in the spare tire (so that whip mount would block the view).
I'm about to head cross country to take my Bronco to EXO Baja Mitad (not overloading, but very fast desert running, and jumps). I just realized my DV8 ditch light mounts includes antenna/whip mount plates. Is this a suitable location to put poles/antennas that will be thrashing around? I'd put...
I'm trying to create a window decal for an upcoming trip. Does anyone have a template of the rear quarter windows (4-door) that works in Adobe Illustrator?
draft graphic attached for interest...
I replaced just the B&O subwoofer with the DS18 8” subwoofer. These pics tell you everything you need to know about the quality of the B&O sub compared to one I picked up for ~$80.
When do you need this info?
In March 2026, I’ll be undertaking a documented expedition called the Memento Mori Run — a 7,000-mile round trip journey from Virginia to Georgia, across the southern states to Southern California, followed by participation in the EXO Baja Mitad 5-day off-road rally...
Do your headrests not adjust? Push it forward and you'll hear a click as it locks in. Keep pushing forward until it "resets" and it will go all the way back to the most upright position.
What size extinguisher is suitable for the Bronco? Also, would a properly mounted extinguisher on the rear cargo area ROPS bar (though not mine, pic attached for example) still be able to handle Baja terrain?
