Good Afternoon, anyone have recommendation for an aftermarket rear diff cover with drain plug that accommodates the brake line clips like the stock one?? Ford’s performance piece has terrible reviews with everyone saying the powder coat fails and it’s rusted out within six months and also that the brake line bolts did not fit. Also, a lot of comments that the supplied gasket did not work and they had to revert to the stock gasket.

I have the FP one and I've had none of those problems. Everyone else has had so much more fun than me! 🤔
Wow!!
I got all of the reviews from the Ford website. They sent me a 25% coupon. That’s why I looked it up. I was pretty surprised myself to see all the negative reviews. I’m glad yours is working out for you.

I think there was a bad run. I guess it might be a crapshoot. ARB has one I believe that some people like. You might do a search for "bronco6g diff cover aftermarket" or something, I know it's come up several times here and the site search blows.

People with a negative experience are more likely to leave a review than those that have had no issues. There was some who experienced the rusting/paint issue. And Ford has issued replacements for those that have called the customer service.

There are plenty of us early adopters that have had no issue.

Just went out and checked; looks totally fine. Been on there 18 months. I did have them reuse the stock gasket, which apparently is a good reusable one but Ford has it to replace. So I still have the (cork?) one that came with it, in case I need it.

I had one of the FP covers that rusted out. Contacted them and they sent another right away. Plus I got to keep the old one. So if for some reason it happens again, I’ll sand blast it and powder coat the 1st one myself 🤷‍♂️

Never had any issues with the brake lines or supplied bolts.

Factory gasket is much nicer and reusable like mentioned above, so that’s what I stuck with.

I’ve had my FP diff cover now for 2 years, not a single problem, still looks new. No issues with rust, leaking, etc. Carbonsteel has a great thread on here about how to install it, including the types of threaded bolts to get to enhance its mounting grip and appearance. I followed his instructions and has been perfect. Brake line mounted just fine with existing clip too (mine didn’t break when I did the work).

Was looking myself as I received the 25% off too. Changing fluid soon. Seems like a good time to swap it.
