Underwhelming, but still cool!
Based on the video I'd say it has a LOT left to give for power and traction, but their suspension setup is completely incompatible with drag racing. I think it could crack 11 if it wasn't having a seizure off the line.

Yeah it’s definitely not easy at all to launch a Bronco, especially one that has a lot of power, ask me how I know 🤣 Nothing about the vehicle is meant for that.
But at only 550 hp, even with a good launch, I don’t think this thing would ever have an 11 in it the way it sits. They’d need to turn it up some more.

I just assumed being a whipple coyote it would be making far more power than it is.

I just spent $8500 on a regear and lockers, do I now need to take a loan out on my house for $50k on a coyote swap with a supercharger?

Surprised Livernois hasn’t jumped in yet with details on this build. They were pretty heavy on the Explorer ST platform and kinda seemed to be getting into the Bronco scene, but haven’t heard much about development from them in forever.

Yeah the Whipple CARB supercharged coyote in my mustang made over 700hp so 550 is pretty weak…
PS: looking to sell the supercharger kit if anyone is interested

I think that .76 is reaction time, which would explain a lot.

Edit: NVM, I didn't realize reaction time is probably already factored out of the ET.

So would a supercharged 5.0 coyote or a supercharged 7.3l megazilla be the way to go?

Depends what you are trying to achieve, what is your use cases your are trying to optimize for? I will say this, if you Baja run hard, 700hp is way more than you need as it will out-push what the suspension is capable of, even if you upgrade to something like an APG Prorunner suspension. If just wanting to have fun on road and be a street king than more power is always fun.

There is a Raptor R build called Dopamine that is a full Kibbietech pre-runner build and the owner has even shared he is thinking of returning his tune back to stock as too much power off-road has been problematic.

Most of my offroading is narrow mountain trails and rock crawling. I do want ability to do some stuff iut west at times too.

I want eight cylinders with push rods that has a curb idle of 600 rpm. I ain’t in it for speed, but I am in it for sound and longevity.
I can dig it.

I want four cylinders with no spark plugs and a max rev of 3500RPM. Also ain't in it for speed but range, torque and reliability.

I'm not sure if you meant 3,500 RPM idle or 3,500 RPM max rev, but I get the feeling like you are wanting a Roxor. :D Though, like the Jeeps they were meant to look like, it's probably better to get an older one. :)
