  1. New guy first post

Congratulations and enjoy. Hope you get to use it how it was meant to be used!
  2. New guy first post

Damn, I didn't realize the new Broncos got so huge! 24 feet long?! Where are you gonna park that thing? You should tell those dealers to reach out to ours. Probably 3 in stock at the local dealers. Almost all of the listings are for Broncos that have been allocated but not arrived. Many...
  3. Slightly DIY dune flag mount solution

If I had seen something that used both screws, I would have gotten that, as long as the price was reasonable. I don't have the tools to fabricate anything. I liked that these are aluminum.
  4. Slightly DIY dune flag mount solution

I'll admit I haven't tested this yet, but the width of the bracket spreads the load and should prevent sideways flex so that the screw only needs to supply the downforce. But we'll see. I don't have a lot invested in this, so I'm not afraid to take the loss if need be. The flag is pretty light, too.
  5. Slightly DIY dune flag mount solution

I recently to a trip to a state park that required a dune flag (Sand Hollow State Park). I bought a flag, not thinking that it wouldn't be mount-ready. For the trip, we rigged up something behind the spare tire, but that left me trying to decide where I should mount it in the future. I have the...
  6. Ohio WTS Badlands Non SAS Wheels

They're not scratched--just need to be wiped.
  7. Ohio WTS Badlands Non SAS Wheels

I bought these. These were the standard wheels.
  8. Affordable basic transportation models for 4x4 vehicles

This is where you lost me. My 4x4 vehicle needs to be able to take me to places, and I don't see the point of slogging through the drive just to save a little money. No way I'm spending 4 hours listening to wind noise. The things that some people consider unnecessary are what make a vehicle like...
  9. Jacking Off Road - Best Practices

The biggest dislike of the scissor jacks was how many times the screw has to be turned to lift and lower the wheel. Once I started using the DeWalt cordless impact driver to remove and reinstall lug nuts, it was an easy mental connection to use it to drive the jack. The PowerBuilt bottle jack...
  10. Coming Soon - IAG Tailgate Air Compressor Kit

I would worry about taking those out on a rock. My compressor came with a hose long enough to reach every tire. I only do one at a time, but it doesn't take any longer, as the time to hook up each tire before inflating in a four-at-once setup is no different than hooking up each tire sequentially.
  11. Jacking Off Road - Best Practices

Clearly, Jonny ways 13-year-old son hijacked his account to post this thread and he's getting the responses he hoped for. :) I wish there was a way that we could vote for "most helpful post" in a thread, because yours is it. I've saved that link. It's too bad I didn't know about this before I...
  12. Bronco Saddle Bags for Jerry Gas Cans - My DIY Welded Solution

How do you have saddle bags without a saddle? đź’€ But more importantly, how are you protecting your Bronco from the supports when they bounce and hit the body?
  13. Grilles, Grilles, Grilles - BRONCO, FORD, or other?

I'm good with BRONCO and FORD. It depends on the grille. I have the Heritage grille with red FORD letters. I like that retro look. But the Badlands OEM grille was nice, too.
  14. 2025 Badlands Bronco will have Fox 2.5 inch live valve shocks (per Ford at NORRA Mexican 1000 race)

Even the Sport dwarfs the Gen1 Bronco. The Sport is not much shorter than the two-door Gen6 and about 21" longer than Gen1, and it's almost six inches wider than the Gen1. But, they are within an inch or two in height!
  15. 2025 Badlands Bronco will have Fox 2.5 inch live valve shocks (per Ford at NORRA Mexican 1000 race)

Considering the Gen1 Bronco was shorter than a VW Beetle of it's day, I'd say in this case, it was a good thing that Gen6 grew up to adult size. "The original 1966 Ford Bronco was a tiny thing by modern standards. At 152.1 inches long, it’s about a foot and a half shorter than a Toyota...
  16. 2025 Badlands Bronco will have Fox 2.5 inch live valve shocks (per Ford at NORRA Mexican 1000 race)

One should not discount the idea that the WIldtrack goes away. 2025 is about the timeline where Ford examines the number of trim variations and cuts some. The Badlands with Wildtrack shocks means that Ford could make the disconnecting anti-sway bar an option and not need a Wildtrack model at all.
  17. Interesting Ford Products

I checked the Ranger Raptor and the competition at our auto show earlier this year. In that market segment, I think it would come down to the Raptor and the Colorado, with the Colorado having a pretty impressive suspension setup, but the Ranger has the better interior and more comfortable seats...
  18. BFGoodrich KO3 All Terrain Tire Launches as Successor to KO2

Not being snarky, but when does an AT or MT tire become heavy? According to Tire Rack data, it looks like the KO3 gains 5 pounds over the KO2, but still falls near several other options and still a heckuva lot lighter than Falkens. In fact, other than the Territory tires, none of the other...
