Thank you Bad Bronco. I actually ordered this already as someone earlier in the thread also posted the same suggestion. I’ll update with photos once the project is complete.(y)

I looked at the shipping to ship it to Canada - No thanks :ROFLMAO: I hope I can find a more local solution… Outside of the squash ball idea.
one of the benefits of having a place in the US my friend..... 😁 I don't mind the squash ball idea. Your goal is to stop any vibration from the bottom of the tire which could create stress fractures where the bolts connect the tire to the tailgate via the mount.

Ah, that makes sense.

I have two squash balls I’ll test out. If I notice a significant benefit to using them, I’ll get a long term solution. I just installed the Turn Off Road reinforcement bracket on my tailgate, so I’m less concerned with my spare tire moving slightly.

This. I have the DV8 reinforcement and the TOR tire camera mount. The setup is rock solid and I doubt the tire is moving around a lot. Perhaps I'll try the squash balls.

Just added mine - it doesn’t look as stupid as I thought it might. Not bad for $14!

Where did you get them from? Amazon? Or just run up to the local store? It does not look bad at all.

I just got them from a local store. Specifically got these ones below, but be careful, as some of the other colours of balls are a little larger in shape (and other different make-up principles), for different experience levels. There's blue, red, yellow, and double yellow dots.

I Googled the difference and learned quite a bit about a game I don't have any knowledge of prior :ROFLMAO:

I designed a spare tire bumper extension that is 3D printed from durable and flexible TPU, it fits over the stock bumper perfectly and doesn’t even require you to completely remove the spare to install it.
Slide the wheel back a bit and align the grooves and push it on, tighten up the wheel nuts and your set, takes 5 minutes and looks factory.
The TPU is pliable and you can squish it with your hand. I can make these in custom lengths, this set at 50mm works with a 0 offset wheel.

Hope this solution makes sense:
We have the Turn Off Road tire carrier. This makes a large gap between the rubber bumper and tire.
By using a PVC Endcap from the plumbing store, along with with the factory bumper stuffed into the endcap as a length extender, our factory bumper now is snug against our spare.

You will need to drill a hole in the Endcap and install a long body plug so that this can be held in place on the tailgate. You will also need to get the rubber bumper the right length by trial and error. We used spit and a screw driver to stuff the rubber bumper into the PVC endcap.

You can use a hole saw to cut rounds out of a PVC rain gutter to create spacers filling the inside of the PVC Cap if the rubber bumper tends to fit too far inside.

Nice!
Can you share a file or something so others can benefit from it and print it themselves?

Sorry I sell these, I’ve don’t that in the past where I shared my designs to communities like this only to end up with people selling them on eBay and marketplace.
