@CarbonSteel When I pulled my steering rack, we noticed that there was some slow leak on the front diff. Around the part that sticks down through the plate, the dirt was not wet, but moist? Do you think that's something I could address when I do this? Mark suggested there was a TSB, and I have to take it in, but figured I'd ask.

Mine is definitely dirtier down under. đź‘€

Also, just wondering, what do you think of the Ronin oil plug?
I guess it depends on where/what is leaking. Not much room to do anything in that space.

For me, while the Ronin is a huge improvement over the factory, I have had residual oil film around mine every time I look at it--even after wiping it down, so it makes me think it is leaking ever so slightly.

Cheesy design by Ford. Aftermarket has an aluminum pan for the transmission--we need someone to step up and build one for the engine.

When I was watching the Ronin install video on YT, I was thinking, man that's got to be some tight tolerances. Do you think it's worth the money? I was hoping I could set it up with a tube so you wouldn't need to remove the plate to drain the oil, but that seems iffy. I do like the magnet, though.

That ARB looks like a nice cover!

I see the drain plug at bottom and fill plug at Top left but was wondering how to check fluid level with fill plug that high up?
The fill cap is a dipstick.

I have a hose connected to my Ronin key and drain it without pulling the skid so it does work pretty well

I understand fumoto doesn't have a strain for the 2.7 yet but I love their Drain on my 2.3. I had a style like the Ronin on an old truck and it never perfectly sealed. I will still with a rotatable valve from now on

Probably not the best place, but wondering how you set that up with the secondary part for the drain. I figured you'd have to put that on each time and use the cap, but that sounds like you're doing something else.

Do you the have the plate in the way? Those are looking better than the Ronin (at least solid brass or whatever), but it has the lever, so I imagine (but don't know if) I'd have to get the plate off. I thought the BD had the same plates as the BL, wondering if you worked something out there.

You remove the gold cap and screw the key with the hose attached into the main drain:

I used a dremel to make a circle in one of the existing slots in the bash plate then used flat black rustoleom to protect it. I put a clear tube on the nipple through that hole and use long pliers to turn the valve (big hands). I made the hole just big enough for the tube so when I push it up I can move it into the slot and it holds it in place. You have to buy the Drain that clocks, the fixed drain with the long nipple doesn't fit. I made a thread about it awhile back.

Does anyone have a link or source for a new gasket, should I need one, for the rear differential? I plan on reusing the existing one, but would like to have a spare just incase.

That looks like a rear main seal leak...

We shall see, hopefully its that simple. Been reading a bunch of threads and, well you know!
It does make me a little miffed that i just had a 'full service' oil change 2 months ago and only 610 miles ago and they never saw/said anything.
