Obvious question, but why is there a "proper sequence" to rotating a tire outside of clockwise or counter-clockwise? Figure there's a reason, just want to know what.
Clockwise is how I had my dealer do mine. I don't think it makes any difference as long as you keep with the same pattern. I just did it that way since there are different ways people do it so to be consistent I just tell them clockwise each time.

I'm about to ask my local dealer to do a 5 wheel rotation at my next oil change. I plan on only taking my truck to this same dealer so I assume the pattern they do will be consistent each time. I don't think I saw this answered, but does Ford have an approved pattern that they perform? Like is a rearward cross what their system says to follow for non-directional tires like the BFG KO2s?

Yes it's in the owners manual. Was linked a while back. Should be able to find it here.

The owner's manual for the 2021 Bronco only has a diagram for a 4-tire rotation. For five tires, you swap the spare with what would have gone on the right rear.

If I haven’t rotated for say 20k are the tires basically shot/ I shouldn’t do this? If be concerned the spare is too different than the other having no wear

Yeah, I'd say after 20K it's too late to start rotating the spare in. Now, if you mean you haven't done any rotation in 20K miles, go do one.

I've taken my truck in for service every 5,000 miles. I say "truck" because I've been doing this on my 2001 F-150 to the Pierre Ford Service Center since around 2002, and now I take my Bronco in to the same place and hand it over to Greg every 5,000 miles. I've got the service agreement, so it's all pre-paid. That may have been a tactical error on my part, as now that I'm retired, I barely get 5,000 miles per year on the Bronco. Going in for the 15,000 mile service on Tuesday. First time I took in the Bronco they did "the usual" 4-tire rotation, and I complained, but said "Oh well," and swapped the right rear with the spare myself. Used the scissor jack that came with the Bronco, figuring it would be good practice for an actual roadside use. For the 10,000 mile service Greg said that I'd be getting the full-on 5-tire rotation, and that's what they did.

Guess what? I cannot find a 5-tire rotation diagram in my Bronco Owner's Manual!

I just saved the "correct" rotation diagram on my 'puter, and printed it out to take in on Tuesday.

I'm very happy with the standard tires on my "mall crawler" OBX. They have good traction on the road when it's wet or dry. Also, they worked really well on that sheet of ice they call a parking lot at Timberline Lodge, as we drove on evening back down to our motel at Government Camp.

I've got more miles on my BMW R1250RS than I have on the Bronco, and I'm on my fourth set of Metzeler tires on that machine. Average tire replacement interval for the bike is 4,900 miles. I like to keep fresh tires on that machine. Now she's got Metzeler M9RRs.

I see in the Bronco manual that you should replace tires due to age every six years. That matches up with the recommended five-year age-out interval for motorcycle tires. I'll probably replace all five tires on the Bronco at around 30,000 miles, so tire life probably won't be a factor.

I've decided not to rotate, too damn big & heavy, plus I'll replace them from age long before they wear out. 🤠

I confess rotate (5 tire, every 5k when I change oil) in a clockwise circle looking down (so spare ends up on driver rear, that ends up on driver front, etc.).

The cross-every-which-way patters are just too hard, I would mess it up every other time and end up worse off :ROFLMAO:
