I've had the 13 inch installed for over 3 years. It's high quality and has held up great with no rust, although my Bronco is garaged. My initial plan with the bar was to hang a pair of LP6's from it and thought the squared shape offered more position options.
There's no reason to be connected via Forscan while the Bronco is running, or rather while you're driving it. Just unplug the Banks, plug in the OBDLink and configure what you want to in Forscan, then unconnect it all and connect the Banks back in. Using a splitter with all of those devices...
I was going to suggest this. While walking out of your office building turn your phone's Wifi off. When you plug your phone into the USB, Carplay can turn your phone's Wifi back on if it needs to and hopefully connect immediately to the Bronco's access point. Do you park in an open lot or...
I snapped these out of the manual. The descriptions are vague so the Display On/Off button may be available only with the base audio, 8" screen, or lower trims.
+1 for @Chopper_Man's NOCO idea. I bought a NOCO GB20 years ago so keep that and jumper cables in my truck at all times. The NOCO is cheaper than replacing a whole battery so I'm more inclined to beat up the NOCO. Also a benefit with the NOCO is that you can jump yourself, if you need to. Step...
For the lower trims, isn't there a dedicated screen-off button in the dash near the AC controls? The upper trims, at least in my '22 Badlands lux, does not have a button and the screen-off feature is only selectable in the infotainment menu. Those with a button may be able to rig up a memory...
The RokBlokz can also be a pain in their own way. They're not so quickly detached once they get caked with dirt and require a lot of jimmying to align just right to feed the screws back in, especially on the rear mounts.
I was one of the first wave of buyers for Rokblokz when they released. They're sturdy and will probably last the full life of the vehicle. In that regard, I guess they're worth their one-time price. I've told myself that if I would have done it again I'd go with Bro Flaps...
Oh shit. Thanks for the warning. I've had no problems with mine installed since Sept 2023. I did purchase this due to lack of options at the time but there are more filter choices available now. I'll be taking care of that filter mesh when I eventually swap it out.
