I briefly checked out that BestTop. Looks cool. Only problem is, I've got the roof rack on my Bronco. My wife specifically asked that I include that while we were spec'ing out the Bronco, way back when. We have never used that rack for anything. Ever. Maybe I'll take it off and stash it...
That required a bit of thought, as it's been a while since I've added any new farkles to my '22 OBX Bronco. OK, here it is: The best thing I've added to my Bronco is the Autostop eliminator. I used this YouTube video to install it: 2021 BRONCO AUTOPSTOP ELIMINATOR. NOT JUST PLUG AND PLAY BUT...
Before the Bronco I had a 2001 Ford F-150. Before that, I had a 1988 Toyota 4-Runner. Before that, I had a 1965 Dodge W200 Power Wagon. I called that one "Godzilla the Power Wagon."
They were all good. My kid is still driving the F-150. I taught both my kids how to drive a stick-shift in the...
I hosed some of the pollen and crap off my '22 OBX while washing the bugs off my BMW R1250RS. Then I went for a ride on the RS. Hey - that's how you are supposed to blow-dry a motorcycle.

I've got a 2022 Outer Banks with just about all the options. Big engine, transfer case upgrade, leather seats, 12-inch screen, and so on. The only downside is that she doesn't look nearly as cool as most of the other Broncos I see on the road. Zero Tonka toy effect on the Outer Banks.
However...
One advantage of the "mall crawler" Outer Banks is that the standard 18-inch tires and wheels weigh a lot less than those monster truck tires on the more serious off-road Broncos.

The OEM wipers on my '22 OBX have been working fine. The Bronco windshield seems to be a whole lot easier on wiper blades than my 2001 F150. That windshield was much bigger, and leaned back more. The OEM wipers on my F150 only wiped one way, and chattered on the way back. Replaced 'em with Bosch...
Easiest, cheapest way to go if you have the funcky plastic bumpers, is the plug-and-play fog lights from Diode Dynamics. ISYN, these things are totally happening. I got the amber ones. They are most excellent. Kick-ass fog lights for your Bronco
On my '22 OBX mall crawler, I use the rear dif locker when backing up my sloping driveway to my parking spot. My spot is to the left of the garage, on gravel. I have to back over a bit of lawn to get to it. When the weather is bad enough for the Bronco to be in slippery mode, I select rear dif...
UPDATE: It's now February 13, 2026. I've almost totally forgotten about the CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM fracus. Only time I think about it now is when I get a notification that somebody has posted on this thread. All I can say is if you live anywhere near Seattle and are looking to have your Ford...
Here is my report on the matter: (44) Auto Start Stop eliminator | Page 7 | Bronco6G - 2021+ Ford Bronco & Bronco Raptor Forum, News, Blog & Owners Community
As discussed here: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/check-brake-system-warning-light-on-22-obx-with-2-7-liter-engine.123707/ my Ford dealer fixed the intermittent brake warning light on my Bronco under warranty. No charge. The problem hasn't come back. I'm happy.

Bottom line for me is that I have gotten useful information from this forum. Most recently was details on that pesky BRAKE SERVICE chime and warning. What a nuisance. I found someone with the same problem and forwarded the thread to my service guy who ultimately fixed my Bronco.

Drove my wife down to Kaiser in Tacoma to get her cataract surgery. Traffic from hell on the way down. We stayed at a nice place in Federal Way. I had all our necessary waypoints stored on Google Maps. They immediately showed up on the Google Maps function on my Bronco. I got her to where she...
Drove from my secret HQ in the Snoqualmie Valley into Seattle twice this weekend, both times taking my wife to artsy-fartsy events. She quit driving into the City at night due to the glare from oncoming traffic affecting her cataracts, so I'm her chauffeur.
Saturday evening we got caught in...
Just got back from getting the brake master cylinder replaced on my '22 OBX Bronco. Here's a copy of the service sheet:
I had it in there for the regular 15K service, and had complained about the frequent "check brake system" warning. They diagnosed it, found faults, and ordered a new brake...
