You know the more I think bout it, the Hitachi's aren't worth the effort to reinstall. I would do take off yellow Bilsteins if you can get low mileage ones for a good price. You'll get much more benefit than just the lift.
Plenty of other reasons, like a lift.
Edit: Sorry I guess I didn't read your post all the way. Just because you are taking it apart to upgrade, doesn't mean something you find broken can't be covered under warranty.
Obviously not in this case of course.. Lol
Yep! I've played around with my Focus like that and couldn't help but try it in the Bronco.
Definitely not the best thing for the synchros I'm sure, but in a pinch. Basically if you lightly tug on the shifter and feather the throttle going up it will pop in place if you get it right.
Wow! Nice work, that's a hand full.
For what it's worth the Bronco shifts pretty well without the clutch if you rev-match and ease it in. Up is easier than down, but down is possible.
Honestly I think you should probably just appreciate that they didn't waste your time by telling you to bring it in if they knew for a fact they weren't going to warranty it.
Well dang, I missed those others apparently. Guess I need to decide if I need to order one to keep with me on long trips, or find a way to delete it if it's really not needed..
Or maybe preemptively reinforce mine similar to what OP did.
Just keep in mind a 1" for the front is approximately a 3/8" or so spacer normally. The geometry of the front suspension is why if gives you more lift. The rear is closer to 1/1. So a 3/8" spacer will give you around 3/8" lift.
Plan accordingly.
Sorry but was this entire play-by-play verbatim conversation necessary? Or were you just bored or something?
And yeah personally, I would Chase those threads if possible, might even zip off the first quarter inch if I needed to and run it.
That's weird.. This is what I'm running in the factory airbox.

Strange, there's nothing special about the Ford wiring kit. Plug, relay, fuse and switch is all. And if you have the aux switches doesn't make sense to add another switch.
Heck in a pinch to go directly to ground and battery and it would work no problem.
I've had mine hooked up for a couple...
So I've battled the vinyl seats as well since I run pretty hot. I installed cheap sheep skin seat covers off Amazon right before my Moab trip as an experiment. Almost 4,000 miles back in late April and literally no sweaty back, swamp ass, or anything. I freaking swear by them, now. No they don't...
Yep looks right. And yeah the mesh is so tight on the hydrophobic cover that basically nothing can get in. They aren't exactly like a K&N where it's going to be free flowing or anything, but for me the Bronco is not hurting for power so I'd rather be safe. I do find myself in a lot of dusty...
My personal preference and what I run, is The Donaldson powercore filter, with the hydrophobic outerwears-type cover. There's actually literally no reason to clean it or do anything with it. I stick the shop vac in there every now and then but that's about it.
Thanks! They have been awesome!
They are 37/1250 Kenda Klever MTs.
On the steelies they measure about a true 12 in wide. I really wanted 11.50s max, but limited options in 37 mts. Especially if I'm not trying to spend a fortune.
Only real issue was that the first tire shop said they wouldn't...
Nice!
Ask @Cajun Czar why I was so far back... 😂
I was begging for them to pull me up further. Lol But I couldn't see crap. 😂
Yeah I honestly think I felt safer with the clutch, but definitely one slip and I was a gonner.
What a way to go though!! 😃
