I'm sure some people think I'm stupid, but this is why I like plastic bumpers. If I tear one up (and I probably will) I just go to the junkyard and get a replacement off a wrecked Bronco. But it saves weight. NVM belly, shock, & diff skids are probably at least 130lbs total. Winch and its rack are maybe 75lbs? Trailrax half rack is 40lbs I'd guess. And when we go out I'm guessing 200-300lbs of water and cargo plus two people in seats. Not having 200lb+ bumpers on my vehicle is a big deal in my mind.

The only values I really watch are axle limits which IIRC are 3,000lb front and 3,500lb rear. Below those values you can compensate the effects of the weight with suspension and brakes. Above those limits I'd probably start looking at chassis reinforcement and/or dana 60.

@StinkBug SFR's front and rear high clearance bumpers are lighter than the stock mod bumpers. I would say both together might be 100-120lbs? I've also banged them several times and they do pretty well. They lose weight cuz they're smaller.

Looks like a great option! I might be locked into my plastic bumpers though bc I have RC hidden winch mount designed for the plastic bumper. Not sure the winch skid would match up with Stinky’s bumper. But something to keep in mind. Thanks for sharing!
