Do you note a significant increase in mileage with 91/93? Have you run your own comparisons or do you just run 91/93 by preference? I am used to the aerodynamic brick thing with my last serious 4x4 (Defender 110) so I know how t drive with that in mind. I do run 87 but only the good stuff (Shell chevron)
General rule is running higher octane will result
in better mileage (assuming you don’t drive differently, which is harder to do than it sounds)

But

You won’t get better enough mileage to make the difference in price worth it.

So don’t do it thinking you will save any money - do it for the performance bump.

How many miles per gallon are people typically getting? I didn’t buy it for its fuel efficiency but I see people posting anywhere from 20-30 MPG. I’ve had the Bronco since April 8th. I haven’t gotten anywhere near 20. The best was 16.8. I’ve tried normal and eco mode on different tanks of gas. I don’t drive it hard ever. Rarely any quick accelerations. Mostly drive it around town and not many highway miles. Just curious if it starts to get better gas mileage after driving it for a longer period of time.
I have a 2021 Big Brand 2 door with the 2.7. I mostly use 100% gas and get 22.0 mpg. It drops to around 20 on the interstate at 77mph. I do most of my driving locally; 30 - 55mph.

‘23 Wildtrak 2-door 2.7l with ~32K miles. First time I got 21 mpg on the highway. In town it varies, but is around 16-18 depending.

I've only ever run 91/93, and for the performance not mileage.

I have a 21 Badlands sasquatch on 35's. When I first got it in December, I was getting a little over 16mpg in 4A. Now that it's warmer, I'm seeing 17 in 2wd.

Ford Bronco Gas mileage question IMG_3861
Just took a trip up to Oregon and this was my peak gas mileage. 2 Door on stock BD wheels and general grabbers, whole time in eco. Moderate to aggressive driving most the way. 92 octane while I was there and usually using 91 while back home. Generally I get 18-20

We have a new 2025 Outer Banks that we just got a month ago. So far around town we have been getting 20 mpg. We live along the front range of Colo. 5000' in elevation. We have taken it to the western slope of Colo. twice. Mountain passes and 10,000 of elevation. We got 22 mpg both times doing a pit over the posted limit. See how it does going to Dodge City and then on to Sayre Ok.

I keep very careful records. I didn't see any improvement in economy by switching to higher octane. Definitely not enough improvement to justify the higher price.

23 Wildtrak 2.7 2 door. I've averaged 17ish since new driving around 50/50 freeway and city. I really haven't tried to figure the difference, but in extended freeway driving I've gotten as high as 17.4, so I guess city is around 16ish v 17.5ish on the road.

Right around 12 towing a small box trailer on the Interstate. Could have done better had I slowed down a bit, though. The trailer rode like it wasn't there, so I drove the speed limit (which was 80 much of the way.) The air resistance of that square trailer added to that of the Bronco itself really eats into gas mileage. I kept the gauges panel up on the IP to make sure nothing got out of whack. The Bronc handled that trailer with aplomb.

Previous base 2 door Sasquatch also 2.7 got pretty much the same mileage (as you would expect).

I noticed the same thing. I ran 87 octane in my 2023 2.7 base Sas 2 dr for several months and then tried 93 for several all in the warmer months to be a good comparison. I saw no difference in mpg. I now have the FPP Procal tune with some other performance mods and went with lift to 37's so I run 93 and I'm getting around 1 mpg more than the 35's and stock. I'm around 19 mpg (during warmer months) with mostly around town driving 25-45 mph. I did have a couple of 21+ mpg tanks last year when I had more 55-62 mph open roads.

My 22 two door Badlands has just over 14K miles and I am still on the original dealership supplied full tank. That’s like 895 miles per gallon.

I have a late 22 2Dr Base with V6/Auto. I've swapped out the steelies for OBX tires & rims... so my calculations for tire-size are factored in... i.e. MPG X 32/30.

I get 22-24 MPG on crappy California gas. I have a 3.73 rear-end (so does my Bronco), and I get 22-24 MPG on the freeway @ 66-70 MPH. I can get that going from Sacramento to Cameron Park (so basically 50-ft sea level to about 1400 feet)... and back.

I think tire size and rear end gear ratio have a big say in MPG.

'25 Squachted 4-door HE with 2.7L riding on 35", drinking 87 octane... Typically getting 18.5 to 19.5 depending on speed, distance, terrain. Averaging right at 19 mpg for my first 9 months of ownership.

About what I expected ... no surprises or disappointments.

This is about what I'm getting Highway with 2.3, 7MT, 38" tires. Although, honestly, it was about the same on 35" tires too.
I'm at 22.5 mpg with 33ish" Wrangler DuraTrac RT tires (2.3L, 7MT, 2DR). I run almost exclusively in Sport GOAT mode, with the ProCal 4 tune, K&N intake and a FlowMaster axleback. I'm thinking it's either the tires or gearing that is making such a big difference in your case.
