I am literally the last great thing to come out of the 1950’s. My Bronco remains stock. In fact my wisdom gained from age had a major part in how I ordered my Bronco. A friend of mine bought a Bronco several years after the initial release and he would send me daily photos of small add ons he...
Well the failure and subsequent recall will work its way down to the contractor that built the MIC tops. If I recall correctly Ford dumped the same contractor in regards to building the MOD painted tops. What I have never understood is why these tops were ever an issue. The technology to build...
I remove my mesh top because I can’t use the hard top removal contraption if it remains in place. I acquired the mesh top with the Bronco icon. It uses the Velcro to hold the sides. The original Velcro was lousy so I purchsed a better quality and it works way better. I also installed a couple of...
Few years ago I ordered seven Motorcraft oil filters from Walmart because I got tired of going to Walmart and they would not have the Motorcraft filter I needed in stock. A few days later there was a rather large box at my front door. I thought “ why such a large box for seven filters?”. I...
The F 150 tows 8K-10K pounds …our Broncos aren’t in the same neighborhood. Our turbo four and sixes will be melted down into Chinese lawn ornaments way before the V8s. Perhaps a more appropriate fender badge should read “ turbo”. I appreciate your point of view. Enjoy your Broncos.
As a retirement reward one should just forgo the indecision and obtain the non Sasquatch Bad Lands. If you are ordering your Bronco and go with the Bad Lands I suggest not optioning the bar disconnect and use the savings on a painted MOD hard top. In the end you have to ask yourself ,” why...
Go camping during a cooler season. I have resided in the Mid Atlantic Chesapeake bay region all my life. Summers are hot but it is the humidity that takes its toll. I went to San Antonio once for a work trip. It was 105 outside. When I exited an air conditioned facility the heat was so impactful...
Years ago the driver side mirror on my F150 Lariat was hit by a semi. During my search to find a replacement I became aware the glass section of the mirror simply could be popped out with a flat blade screw driver. The local Ford dealer wanted $550 just for the glass. I went on EBay and bought...
A study has shown a vehicle experiences a non repairable tire failure at a rate of 30%. One could confidently add to that percentage if the vehicle is routinely off roaded. If the vehicle owner pays for tire rotation at say $40 every 10K miles they are $200 deep at 50K. Almost the cost of one...
Today’s Bronco should have NEVER been considered to be put into production without the V8 option. I believe without a doubt when the designers at Ford were tasked with creating the Bronco every one of them believed it would incorporate a V8.
The price on the window sticker will not reflect the actual price at the dealership lot. A premium will be attached. Mid 70’s is the bait in the trap. For me, Ford is going in the wrong direction. Allow me to beef up a Base two door through options. BTW the motor matters not unless they option a V8.
