So, ... do we know for a fact that of a potential total sample size of 565,000 vehicles only 15 have issues? Bad logic, bad statistic, bad assumption.
While I'm speculating (that's a more honest word) that the incidence rate of actual significant issue is small (for some value of "small"), we...
I feel your pain. Unfortunately, based on how the wiring harnesses in my '25 Bronco look, it's probably much ado about nothing. IOW, it's sad they won't release your vehicle, as the chances of it having a serious issue are probably miniscule.
Good luck with a quick response. Perhaps...
Fall ... maybe early Winter, depending on (1) year of if vehicle and (2) if Ford really expects to examine anywhere near 500K+ vehicles.
The BMC factor (bitch, moan, complain) factor is high ... but it's probably a toss-up who is more annoyed at this point ... owners? Dealers?
You can say "Why...
You have to be patient .... it's a multi-step process ... and you *have to* "trust the process:"
1. There's a problem.
2. We think we know what the problem is.
3. We don't have a solution.
4. OK, we have a solution, but we don't have the parts/supplies.
5. We have the parts/supplies, but...
Thanks. I still feel that estimate is premature, given that the surface (actual evaluation) has only just begun to be scratched.
I've previously stated that I feel that the wiring harnesses in my engine compartment look very good (my truck is 11 months old and has 8,500 miles).
However, if...
I believe '25 and older Broncos will start no sooner than September. August is for Raptors. I have an August '25 build and I'm fully anticipating I won't get my letter before October or November, but I'm OK with that as I was just at the dealer less than 4 weeks ago already for the last recall...
The 2.7L is a nice engine, for a truck, but ... yeah ... even with twin gerbils, it's no match in thrill or performance for the naturally aspirated 5.5L Benz. Each has their purpose.
I use Waze or Google maps for on road driving, and onX for off-road driving.
onX allows for the download of off-road maps for constant reference, in case of signal loss.
