Even though this wasn't the cause... this is EXACTLY the reason I'll never have a dealership pick up my Bronco for an oil change. You just never know what happens once it leaves you.
I have a late 22 2Dr Base with V6/Auto. I've swapped out the steelies for OBX tires & rims... so my calculations for tire-size are factored in... i.e. MPG X 32/30.
I get 22-24 MPG on crappy California gas. I have a 3.73 rear-end (so does my Bronco), and I get 22-24 MPG on the freeway @ 66-70...
Well, now I have a question. When was that transmission fix put in again? I have a Bronco with a V6 and a 10-speed... Sept. 2022 build.
What symptoms would I look for?
Or are you saying the Bronco doesn't have a 10R80 transmission... so don't worry about it?
Thanks!
If they won't budge on price anymore... I'd try and shift gears and hit them up on an extended warranty at a super-discount. They have more room to play on those.
For example -- like 70K and 7 years bumper-to-bumper for $1000.
Tell them you're worried about that 300+ miles, but extending the...
Wouldn't it just be easier to answer the question (which you still haven't)... instead of getting all superior and condescending?
Never mind...
Oh... and in regard to the SAS-Badge... like this one I found on EBay for $40?
I was amazed at the price of those little tabs that hold the interior plastic on are priced at.
$10/each. I went to Amazon and got 24 for $10.
Really... $10 per ittle screw/tab from Ford!
I would try and get your local dealer to write down that it includes the hardtop.
If he won't agree to that... use it as a negotiation tactic and get the price down at least another $500.
In addition, I wouldn't spend over $1500 for an extended plan that didn't cover you for another 4 years...
You folks all take this too seriously.
You drive a 4-door? Great!
You drive a 2-door? Great
We all have preferences on just about everything in our lives.
I have a white 2-door. I'm looking for a zebra-striped 2-door. Once I find one, I want to see if it rides as well as my white 2-door...
2-Door Advantages:
1) Won't bottom-out as fast over uneven terrain.
2) Look a lot better.
3) Parallel park easier (mall crawler mode).
4) A yellow one won't be confused with a school bus.
Nothing really against 4-doors. My daughter has a 4-Dr OBX V6. She will take that thing just about anywhere.
I just had a lot of 2-doors... and like the short length (i.e. 2 FJ40s, 2 Wranglers, 2 Mitsu-Monteros, a red OJ Bronco, a Bronco II, and now my 2-door Bronco).
They're all fun...
Sorry... I buy American made when possible.
It looks like a warmed-over (new) Landcruiser. How many more car-like SUVs do we need on the market?
Now... if it looked like an old FJ40... that would have my attention.
I tend to agree... and am older. Although I wish I had the 360 stuff... I'm glad I own a late 2022 Base 2Dr. I don't seem to have any problems... with anything. I've had the hood sensor go off a couple of times for a few seconds, and maybe my rear camera went dark for 2 seconds 3 times in 3...
I just added a 4-pin tow module that connected into the standard lights on my 2-Door Base (without tow package), and a CURT trailer hitch. Basically, bypassing Ford (just like you would in 1975).
You plug the wires into the standard tail lights (plug-n-play), and run a wire off the battery for...
I had a red 95 Bronco. It was fun, big, and was lucky to get 12 miles per gallon. I think I sold mine for $6000 about 15 years ago with about 70K miles on it.
I am glad I have my 2Dr Base with V6/auto. Even more fun.
If you want to see the original OJ Bronco you can see it at the Alcatraz...
