Nypost doing it's usual hack job. The regs basically only apply to summer highway tires.
Key details regarding the exemptions include:
Snow Tires: Tires defined as "winter-type snow tires" or those certified with the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol are fully exempt from the...
If you are seeing and smelling smoke, there is something very wrong with your brakes. Assuming no driving abuse, there's no reason you would experience that without something like a sticking caliper or other mechanical fault.
The Badlands is the much better deal (at least when I bought mine in 24) if you are looking at similar specs otherwise (base/mid/lux, etc.). In 7MT config, it has everything about a SAS except wheels and shocks. And it's 5-6k less (again, if you are comparing otherwise same spec vehicles). You...
My special order Badlands came with 12 on the clock too. After having purchased several brand new vehicles.. have never seen one with less than a dozen or so miles.
Would you rather they assemble the vehicle and not verify that it drives properly?
None of those things are worth the cost or hassle. Most importantly, as you have noted, they filter poorly compared to a regular filter. That's a big problem, and not worth any of the claimed benefits.
Add in that if you screw up the oiling (not enough or too much) you can damage your engine...
It'll probably happen.. eventually. But no way it happens in 2035, It's just political posturing. Maybe 2065. Maybe.
There is simply no way such laws will ever take effect in 8ish years. The resources and resource production would never support it, and the infrastructure doesn't either. These...
Are you really worried that EVs are going to be "forced" on you? Currently there are about 100 EV car models sold in the U.S. compared to over 1,200 gas models.
Pretty much all batteries are built by 2 or 3 different companies to the specs (cranking amps/reserve capacity/etc.) of the branded company that wants to slap their name on it.
Buy a battery based on specs & warranty.
I have a 2024 Badlands and would like to swap to the 26+ years because they have more poke +40 instead of +55). If you're in the northern colorado area and up for it, DM me. My wheels are pretty decent though have a couple minor scratches. We could work out a deal to your liking.
The factory jack is fine -- on a dead level surface. But it does not have the stability (sans modification) to be safely used if the vehicle is not on completely level surface. Off-road, you often without the possibility of a dead level surface.
When offroad, I carry a bottle jack with a big...
It's not irrational. Diesel engines form the bulk of all fine particulate matter (PM2.5) pollution, which is very unhealthy to breath -- at any concentration -- as particulates that small enter directly into your bloodstream and cause direct damage as well as carry toxins that bio-accumulate...
This contributes, no doubt, but Toyota has a 40%+ market share in Japan, with most of the rest divided by a bunch of other makers that also are just barely starting to make EVs (even for use outside of Japan).
Using electricity to power an EV is about 90% energy efficient. This includes...
Essentially the only developed nations (and China, whatever development level you might call it) where EVs are not already the dominate new vehicle purchase/market share or soon to be there are the U.S., Canada, and Japan. Even many developing nations (eastern europe, south asia) have...
Hah! I had a similar experience with my Mustang when I first had it. I took it out on what I thought was a nice late spring day, but while on the drive it started snowing. When I got back home there was only a little bit of snow on the driveway -- about an inch. I tried going up, and no go. I...
I hate to break it to you, but any Ford product fits the definition of "throwaway vehicle after five years" far more closely than any Honda, including a Civic.
