The inner is interchangeable and typically the part that breaks. That’s all I’ve ever carried. The outers have L and R designations.
I could be wrong, but I think the 3.0 comes with the bigger Ford Performance tierods. Or at least the 74Weld stage 3.0 came with those ones. With that big billet chonky boi we’re going to run heim tierods from RPG with dual-shear at the portals. No more spare tierod at the point, just some extra bolts.
https://td-distributing.myshopify.com/products/bronco-6g-tie-rod-repair-kitI wonder if anyone sells just the inner? Yes the 3.0 kit has the bigger tie rods. So just the inner is not interchangeable. Hadn’t thought of that.
I carry this in my Bronco at all times.
I ironically have severely damaged threads on my passenger outer tire rod at the ball joint. Freak accident. I do not carry an outer.
I red locktited it on the trail thousands of miles ago.
I have a 3.0 rack sitting in my garage with the 3.0 tie rods. Just waiting to decide on what I want to re-gear to, before installing the rack, since you need to remove the steering rack to do the FDU.
