The inner is interchangeable and typically the part that breaks. That’s all I’ve ever carried. The outers have L and R designations.

I could be wrong, but I think the 3.0 comes with the bigger Ford Performance tierods. Or at least the 74Weld stage 3.0 came with those ones. With that big billet chonky boi we’re going to run heim tierods from RPG with dual-shear at the portals. No more spare tierod at the point, just some extra bolts.
I wonder if anyone sells just the inner? Yes the 3.0 kit has the bigger tie rods. So just the inner is not interchangeable. Hadn’t thought of that.

I carry this in my Bronco at all times.

I ironically have severely damaged threads on my passenger outer tire rod at the ball joint. Freak accident. I do not carry an outer.

I red locktited it on the trail thousands of miles ago. :ROFLMAO:

I have a 3.0 rack sitting in my garage with the 3.0 tie rods. Just waiting to decide on what I want to re-gear to, before installing the rack, since you need to remove the steering rack to do the FDU.

That’s a deal for $85

The HD rack comes with the FP tie rods (I think they're attached in the box when you receive it). 74Weld will send those tie rods with the stage 3 if you don't get the Icons, but they recommend keeping the FP since Quinn thinks they're good enough. The inners are what you want and are interchangeable; I bought the outers, which are not prone to breaking, not interchangeable and don't really work as a door stop either.

The tie rods are pretty hard and therefore somewhat brittle and I believe they usually snap off pretty cleanly. I’m not saying a brace will always patch one together but definitely sometimes as I watched Matt’s offroad recovery use one to get a Bronco off the trail. I looked at BronBraces, but wasn’t willing to spend $300 for what I wanted one for. Spent $75 on a knockoff.

I carry two inner tie rods with me at all times. One for me and one for someone else.

Outer tie rods are side specific:
