Long story short. I do not recommend removing the air box. You will see zero gains on the stock turbos and it will feel sluggish driving around town. I did some logging with the air box, without and no air box and no filter. Logs didn’t show a difference at WOT, but you can tell a difference daily driving. I recommend keeping the air box on. I will retest when the more capable turbos are installed. That is exactly how I got the idea!
Yeah mine is back on now that summer is here anyway, and I didn't really notice anything material anyway.Long story short. I do not recommend removing the air box. I put my air box back on too. It kept tripping the IAT sensor code. Put the box back on and no more sensor issue. Iive and learn. I just wish it was easier to get the filter out to clean it.Long story short. I do not recommend removing the air box. Does the high mount intercooler work with their charge pipes? Unsure about the note re: aftermarket charge pipes on website.I've also had a protype CV Fabrication High Mount intercooler installed and now that it's finally out I can talk about it. It's pretty much the same as the Wagner unit, but less expensive. So far, I'm loving it and sometimes see IAT2/ACT2 temps approach ambient after a short pull. It takes a bit longer to install compared to their stock location offering, but IMO it's totatlly worth it. Probably not needed if your Bronco is stock with some performance mods, but if you plan to go with a custom tune then I say it should be at the top of your list. 95% more core volume over the OEM intercooler.
I plan to post a dedicated write-up on it in a few weeks. I also made a super long install video, which I'll link at the bottom of this post.

Not currently. It’s something that’s being worked on, so when we have a solution I’ll update you all.Does the high mount intercooler work with their charge pipes? Unsure about the note re: aftermarket charge pipes on website.
They're probably made on the same assembly lineThat intercooler looks so identical to my Wagner intercooler that I would be very surprised if it was actually different manufacturers.
Is the CVF unit cheaper? It is listed for more unless there is a reseller with a better price.
