Can I check to see if the procal tune is still in the ecu ?

So last night my 26 Raptor had an update on its own. And noticed some app difference. I installed the FP tune last month and I was wondering how would I know if the update reset the tune ? Or would it not ? Either way would I be able to see it in the FP monitor ? If I’m saying to correctly?

As of yet, I have not heard of an over-the-air update from ford resetting a tune of any type (FP or any other).

It has been so long since I flashed my tune I don't recall of a setting/screen in the ProCal that indicates tune Ver. # or equivalent, but I think it likely if you plug in your ProCal to Bronco it would give some indication as to the state of the flash on the Bronco. I do recall that software on laptop (again, forget the exact name) does indicate what tune ver. # you downloaded, so maybe get that first

I had a dealership install my PC tune on my 24 Braptor, so not sure that I can verify/reinstall it on my own. I’ve wondered about whether or not it’s still active or if any of the various updates altered it.

I'm on my second one and I was innocently checking out newer models when my current one threatened to kill me in my sleep.

If you have the ProCal dongle, you can always just try to re-install the tune. Just plug it in and follow the prompts. (I recommend having the battery on a tender, the process doesn't take long - maybe 5 minutes, but there is a lot of key on / key off, and you would hate to have a battery go limp in the middle of changing your PCM)

I used to say "does your ASS remember the previous setting" - but that got changed.

Now, the only good tell is your top turbo pressure. I don't know what it would be with/without ProCal on the v6's... on the i4 your turbo pressure will top out around 18 psi without the ProCal tune. With the tune it will top out around 21 psi.

I just installed mine, with some difficulties with the hardware, but... There's no definite way to tell which tune you're running.
From the PC side, it just lists the tunes available to use on the box, not which is installed.

I was going about this so slowly due to pondering if I should risk the install, given my module was malfunctioning slightly.

As such, I noticed while it was gasping for life and I was trying to stabilize it's power supply situation, that it gave me the option to re-write the stock tune over the stock tune as soon as I had it backed up on the box, and then later when I downloaded the procal tune from PC, I mistakenly uploaded the procal twice to the bronco while trying to back out of the screen while clicking around after the initial install was done..

It's a fairly mundane install but you could in theory drop back to stock and then re-program the procal to make yourself feel sure?
At least that way you could actually feel the different in torque over questioning what you're now very used to?

Drawbacks being it might reset some auto-learned gubbins. I felt my power steering get stiffer after my install.

I hear ya. Interesting thoughts … from what I’ve read here about the boost levels is that once and when I do downshift and about 80% throttle the boost gage shoots up high … passing the 20psi mark specially when the weather is cooler below 70 degrees

i plugged my procal in today to check if dealer has messed with it and seems to be OK based on the menu option to return to stock, as well as its diagnostics and reset funcrions all operative.
