If you read the fine print, ProCal does define "Premium" as 91 or greater octane rating.

ASS/RevMatch supposedly deleted only for MY23 and newer. For whatever reason.
I have a 23 BL 2.3L with the FP ProCal. I have the ASS memory thing. It was installed mid-summer 2023. Are you saying if I had to get it reinstalled, it might not do the ASS memory anymore?

Yes. Supposedly there was an update to the Tune file in June/July 2024. If you download and install the update - you might lose it. Several of us have emails into Ford Performance to ask what's going on, especially to those of us who purchased/installed the tune before this was deleted and expected it to remain.

So long as you don't reconnect the dongle to the laptop and update the tune file online - you should be ok though.

Min 91 octane - always, I mean it's a Raptor after all.

As others mentioned, when using lower octane fuels, the truck will pull timing and will not get the power quoted by FP. The transmission tuning schedule is still the same.

The transmission adjustments are significant enough that I would still use the Procal with 89/91 octane maximum.

ASS is off by default in sport mode whether you use a Procal or not. So the best option is just set it on your R mode, gotta push one button but then everything is preset. Procal no longer carries memory for ASS no matter the year if you get the mid year program release.

Just picked up the Ford Procal for my 2024 Braptor from Lethal Performance.

How many people that are running the Procal are running upgraded intercoolers from Whipple or Cobb?

I live in AZ so heat is a thing 8-9 months out of the year.

Now that I have found a Shell station locally with 93 octane (remember, small town in Arkansas) I'm fine with using premium. Always used 93 in my 13 F150 Roush Raptor since it was supercharged and 93 instead of 91 will also be good for the wife's GT350 as well. The question now is Procal or JB4. Warranty not an issue as Procal is good and JB4 can be pulled prior to taking it in for warranty. Personally I don't have an issue with shifting so that's not a factor but I do like the part that JB4 has more tuning options. Thoughts?

From what I’ve seen it doesn’t, looks like rev-matching is gone too
My f performance tuned 24 rev matches in sport mode. Same as it always did.
