moved the upper limit to 19 (conservative) and spent some time getting to know the app, picking gauges etc. Already had the S&B CAI and no plans to change exhaust (at least for now)
Overall I'm really happy about choosing the JB4 over the ProCal - mainly for no dealer installation, clean removal...
It is - you first need to find and turn on the option for drive mapping. Then grab the mode you want and set the Map for that mode. I'm using Map 1 for Normal and Map 2 for Sport
So I went into settings and did not see specifically how to do it but I will assume (we know that definition) that what is needed is to select the mode - let's say Sport on the Braptor first- and then on the JB4 app select Map 2 as in your example - correct? MANY THANKS FOR SHOWING THIS!
OK so installation was not a big deal, mainly just cleaning up wiring and the pain in the butt firewall grommet.
Comes with Map 1 installed so I left that alone as I'm still adding 93 (I ran 89 until recently) Bluetooth connected flawlessly and default gauge setup is great, although I may change...
Check out the area around Oark in the mountains - lots of trails, waterfalls etc. Stop by the famous Oark Store! Look it up on Google, I think Hot Springs still has an off road park
Finally got off the fence and ordered the JB4 & Bluetooth for my Raptor because I wanted the flexibility of changing the maps. Around here 93 is just about a buck a gallon higher than 89 and I really don't need to "Play" all the time. We have the wife's GT350 when I have the real need for speed...
I'm strongly considering the JB4 instead of ProCal because of the flexibility to change mapping with the BT interface. Price is about the same, install is no biggie and I don't have to go to the dealer. I do regular road trips for business and don't really want to pay the extra buck a gallon for...
Now that I have found a Shell station locally with 93 octane (remember, small town in Arkansas) I'm fine with using premium. Always used 93 in my 13 F150 Roush Raptor since it was supercharged and 93 instead of 91 will also be good for the wife's GT350 as well. The question now is Procal or JB4...
That's exactly what I needed to know! And it's my own fault for not stating at the git go that it's a 23 Raptor and since it's only a month old, no one else has worked on it. I installed some ditch lights that have an amber as well and used 2 for the lights and 4 for the amber, saving 3 for a...
Getting ready to install a 40" light bar and I see the circuit I want to use (highest amp) is AUX 1. Isn't that already in use by the Rigid lights from the factory?
Considering using the tune but I'm concerned about the octane needed to avoid detonation. 93 is hard to find in the sticks (Arkansas) with 91 at most places BUT - it's nearly $1.00 per gallon more. 89 is readily available as mid grade and not nearly as expensive. How critical is using Premium...
Well I do live in western Arkansas with mountains close and some pretty rugged trails all around us! My red Roush Raptor turned mud brown more than once!
After confirming that Rockslide (with Rockslide) will fit and watching the installation video I'm exchanging the AMP Research for the Rockslides. Basically bulletproof and no tapping into the BCM.
Not the cheapest option for sure but I think they will suit my needs the best.
Anyone out there have any suggestions on a fixed board (I think I'm done with the idea of powered versions) that have a lower step height? I know I'll loose ground clearance but I'm not currently worried about that. I'm 75 and would like an easier get in / get out. Maybe even a "stirrup step"...
