My concern is that the wide scrub radius steering has not been fixed with these portals. The track width is the same as 74weld portals but no Hoss 3.0 reinforced steering upgrade, which a recipe for a failure. These portals only work with hoss 2.0, not hoss 3.0 steering rack, this is an issue for me. Why arent these designed to work with the Hoss 3.0 steering rack? I dont think upgrading only the tie rods is good enough when running 38s or 40s, you need an upgraded steering rack option just like the stage 3 74weld steering rack.
you don’t want a 74 steering rack. They actually decrease your steering performance.

What do you mean these can’t be run wiyh Hoss 3.0?

I am really lost as to your concern... If they work with the HOSS 2 then they should work with the HOSS 3.... YOU have to provide your choice of steering rack upgrade... That will not be part of a portal "kit"....

what do you mean what is my concern, you are widening the track and increasing the unsprung weight while still on the hoss 2.0 stock steering rack, you would at an absolute minimum have to go with Hoss 3.0 steering rack. 74Weld does Hoss 3.0 with a beefed up supporting components on the same track width and it's still not perfect. The concern is very valid.

Did you read what I said, you can't upgrade to 3.0 rack because the 3.0 rack isn't compatible with those portals, they only work with the Hoss 2.0 steering rack . At least that's what I read somewhere, it should be confirmed. Stop acting like a bitch on a period.

They literally have ZERO to do with a 3.0 rack.....2.0 rack, 3.0 rack, doesnt matter. They're going to stress a 2.0 rack more than a 3.0 rack.

Explain why you think the 3.0 rack is not compatible?.... I state clearly that if the 2.0 rack is compatible then the 3.0 rack is compatible.... I am not understanding why you think the 3.0 rack is not compatible. Does it say this on the Turn web site???? I do not see that anywhere... They are not for the Raptor but that is a whole different set of issues.

I am going to tell you with complete certainty, I have physically turned the wrenches..... If a HOSS 2 rack works then a HOSS 3 rack works.... Period. They are interchangeable. How do I know this with complete certainty? Because I have changed them out. Not on these portals but on the 74 weld portals, the connection is exactly the same.

Mine are a bit different but I changed out to the 74 weld rack and then went with a double shear connection. Minus the double shear they are the same.

I read somewhere a few days ago that if you upgrade to a 3.0 rack then these portals with the new tie rods they have will not work with the 3.0 rack only the 2.0. I find that very strange that they don't have compatibility with both racks. Again, not sure if true but that's what I read.

Well I am not at all denying what you say I am just questioning it because I have gotten conflicting answers and now I can't find where I read that. If I remember correctly it said that Turn Offroad e developed their own tie rod steering solution but that steering solution was not compatible with a 3.0 rack only 2.0. If you are right that 3.0 is compatible than that's good, I'm glad that's the case.

If the turn off road portals work with a HOSS 2.0 I promise you they work with a HOSS 3.0... You can even put the HOSS 3.0 tie rods on a HOSS 2.0 rack (or 2.0 tie rods on a 3.0 rack).... I do not recommend that.... BUT you can physically do it. The only connection between the portals and the rack is the tie rods.... SO if Turn created some new tie rod that only works with their portals (funny they do not mention that - design wise would not make much sense) and they can be threaded into a HOSS 2 rack... then they can be threaded into a HOSS 3 rack just as easily. I personally have sets of HOSS 2 tie rods and HOSS 3 tie rods and another set of RPG tie rods sitting at home right now.

That is what I initially thought and had a conversation with chat GPT and it said not all tie rods are compatible with 3.0 and vice versa so not sure how reliable that thing is as it always contradicts itself but that's what it said.

Compatibility.... well I can tell you where AI is missing the boat... HOSS 2 inners and HOSS 3 outers are not compatible. Same with HOSS 3 inner and HOSS 2 outer, not compatible. You have to change out the whole tie rod or nothing at all. But either inner (2 or 3) will thread into either rack (2 or 3)... The tie rod to rack threads are identical.
