I wanted to reach out to you guys today and see who thinks they can help.
I do mostly what I consider low speed wheeling. It consists of lots of varying rocks, ruts and it is the southeast so mud. I want a cushiony ride, soft forgiving. I thought the way it was touted out of the gate the Fox 3.0, then started to see some not so much for me stuff. I then heard of @AccuTune Offroad Ride shocks. They show some promise. I then thought I'd really found what I needed with @Bilstein with the 8112s. Then I started to hear the not so much for my style comments. I wondered about Rock Krawler. I don't need a suspension for soaking up 70 MPH whoops. I'd like to enjoy that one day but it's just not my terrain or my wheelhouse. So, my question is, knowing I am more than willing to give up street corner carving manners for cushy rock soaking movement... What do you guys suggest. We used to run reversed valved or 50/50 shocks...

I have no answer but following because this is pretty much my use case.

I’ve been happy with ProComps and mine are still holding up well but I think you are looking next level, and it has me curious too

You should have jumped in mine to feel for yourself the Fox hoss.
I think they performed excellent in smoothing out all those rocks and bumps, I experienced no fatigue from 2 days on the trail due to the well controlled ride.
If you can find some takeoffs I would suggest giving them a try.

I would go with the Eibach Pro coilovers. Pretty inexpensive, adjustable height, plush on the road and pretty flexible in the rocks. No need in high dollar coilovers for what you are wanting in a suspension.

I hear you. I am considering the Dobinson's though. I am not against the Eibach, I have heard of some sags and failures as I recall. Is the Pro Comp still around? I would love to hear from someone on Rock Krawler using them this way.

Also, don't think my HOSS 2.0 has been bad, actually I have been very happy with them.. I am just ready to get a little looser.

I don't know what your budget is but have you thought about ORI's? I think @BigMeatsBronco has them but custom length for his rig. I wonder if they got something for stock rigs...

The important thing to keep in mind is that coilovers don’t break, so it’s unnecessary to do anything stronger than whatever size the company saying things like “coilovers don’t break” uses.

ORIs are pillowy-soft, fantastic ride and ultra user adjustable... without needing to remove them. If you opt for the ones with no reservoir, they should fit in an stock bronco with minor top mount mods...literally riding on air or nitrogen gas !!! The valveing is genius. And the design is proven. Highly suggest them. Night and day difference from Hoss 3 or SAS coilovers

So, the current consensus is Eibach, Procomp, and ORI. @BigMeatsBronco Have you done much crawl and up to 30 MPH range rough terrain. I am interested in the ORI and was hoping you would chime in. @SierraBronco I understand the strength of the smallest coilover is enough for king of the hammers now and I appreciate the insight. Any others?

How TF did it snap in half with such a clean cut?? 🤔

I was going to say ORI too but not because I know better just because they're shiny and look nifty. 🤩

Looks like it overextended and there wasn't a stop to keep it from just pulling apart?

Been keeping my eye on these every since you first mentioned them. The Custom mount is ... while not exactly keeping me from doing anything, it's still a barrier to entry. But seems to be a lot of positives with this solution.

Is the Pro Comp still around?
Yes, and as a bonus it doesn't appear they have raised the price from their fire sale 4WP branding blowout (front and rear kits linked)

Well, there is a reason we bought a second set of coilovers from Rock Krawler. A few of them, actually. There are a lot of good options out there.

ORI has a really nice benefit that you can run 8” stroke struts without modifying your shock towers. No need for limit straps or bump stops either.

Here’s my thoughts after awhile with them.

It's funny, when I try to find links to the ProComp/4wp VRST's, I can usually only find the front or back. Just Monday I was looking for them and only found a link to the rear on the site. Today the search is only returning the fronts but you have both links. You win Yahtzee today I guess.

I was told with authority by a shock manufacturer, on this very forum, that this isn’t a problem…
