I have a 24 Big Bend and I’m getting close to 20,000 miles. What is the recommended service you’d suggest besides oil and filter every 5k and rotating tires?

As stated above not much to do

You may need to refresh the nut behind the steering wheel. 😂😎 i have to regularly 😳😂

I’d kick back and have a cool one 🍺🍺

The maintenance schedule calls for a bunch of things to be inspected. Because I am who I am, I gave the underneath a look over to check for leaks and boot rips on any of the rotational items. You can login at ford.com and look at the maintenance schedule for the list of items for the 20k checkup.

If you want to go above and beyond... Change the lube in the diffs and t-case.

I haven't done it in my bronco yet.. but when I did it in my 21 ranger at 25k~.. all the fluid was nasty.

I have never done all the stuff called out in these service intervals on any vehicles, and I run them 20+ years. I change the oil at 5K, the transmission fluid at 70K. I take care of my vehicles and keep on top of things like the condition of brakes, belts, ETC. but don't even know what's in those service intervals.

I just had all the fluids done at 20k along with those “inspections“…got to stop by the auto parts store and pick up engine and cabin air filters I do at 10k…good luck!

Would that be in the owners manual, or somewhere else on Ford .com? I find it difficult to find in the manual.

It’s in the Ford app, under maintenance (the wrench icon at the bottom).

I got full synth oil change & 5 tire rotation and all the “checks” listed. Hopefully, anyway. They recommended an alignment and brake flush. I said no thanks and I’ll do my own engine and cabin filter.

Definitely change all fluids except coolant and incl brake fluid with synthetics if planning to keep for a while or drive it hard. Lubes are the lifeblood and cheap relative to accelerated wear, unless it's a lease return then do nothing haha.

Lol, drive it like you stole it!!
😎

I'm really good at giving advice I never follow myself, but a 20k refresh of the factory diff , transfer, manual trans and MAYBE auto transmission would probably be a great plan if you're looking to own really long term. After that, those major fluids would probably be good for a considerable amount of time.

A thorough level check immediately after buying is probably a phenomenal idea as well.
Lots of stories about under fills from the factory,

Based on how my original engine air filter looks at 20k miles and 11 months, I’m going to cut that interval in half going forward. I’m in some dust every time I come and go from home.

I’ll inspect it every 5K at oil change and replace it every 10k tops. Hopefully my turbos appreciate it.
