This is a strange one. Where did the 6 quarts of oil go and why was there so much sludge in the engine? If there was some kind of mechanical condition causing this much oil loss and sludge buildup it seems like it would have been symptoms. This sounds characteristic of an engine that went 40K...
Good for her. I'm amazed every time I go to Chick-fil-a how friendly, respectful and hard working the staff is. What a contrast from that other burger joint. These people are going to be successful for sure.
It obviously did pretty well! It was a head on collision with a semi. It sucks to lose an arm but he is lucky to be alive. Good thing he wasn't driving a Prius.
I knew the sway bar was trouble when l first read about it. My Base has no issues after almost 5 years of daily city driving. I avoid as many options as possible.
I heard there is a pending recall for the BMS system. According to NHTSA not being warned at least 30 minutes before the driver needs to poop can increase the likelihood of a crash, causing serious injury or death.
After four years I didn't know double clicking the lock button causes the honk, I had to try it after reading your post. Anyway I agree when it happens unexpectedly it can scare the crap out of you. The Bronco does have a nice loud dual note horn.
My 22 Bronco was in the same situation after I had this wild haired idea to play around with Forscan. Nothing in the thread worked, and I spent several hours at it. Man I though I was screwed. What's the dealer going to charge to fix it? $300, $1000? Especially if I tell them I effed it up...
I agree with the obnoxious double honk but it has nothing to do with "better manufactures". Ford has plenty of quieter notifications that do not use the horn. In a way it makes sense because you certainly don't want to exit your vehicle with the engine running in Chicago or Los Angeles. Its not...
The double honk is normally caused by closing the door with the power on when the key fob is not inside the vehicle. Try leaving the key fob inside the vehicle when reconnecting the doors.
That's pretty lame. GM is having problems with their engines due to the absurd MDS systems, but its not like the others aren't having problems. The Colorado is a pretty
Recalls are mostly a joke, there is only one on my Bronco I would waste my time taking it in. I've been driving my Bronco...
Definitely true. Unless you actually rock crawl your way better off without monster tires or the Sasquatch package. You get a better ride better steering response better handling and better mileage. Plus the vehicle is narrower which has its own advantages.
Still three years away, anything can happen but definitely going after the Bronco. I hope it offers a fixed roof option I would be interested. I like my Bronco but not the compromises that come from having a removable roof and frameless windows.
Only you can make this discission, go with the one you like the best. My personal opinion is to avoid special edition models as they command a high price, and the Stroppe doesn't seem to be very popular in this site anyway.
I'm on my original windshield after four years. The trick is to leave plenty of following distance especially in conditions where stuff can be kicked up. This will not only protect your windshield but reduce rock chips in the hood. Added bonus -- you will be less likely to rear end the car in...
This is just my opinion and may be wrong, but this is overblown. To put this in perspective 1700 units is about the output of a modern automotive assembly plant in a single day. Of the units included in a recall typically only a small number will have the issue. Most likely this recall will...
Full-time UAW autoworkers at the Detroit Big Three (General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis) earn top-tier base wages ranging from $42 to over $50 per hour (about $85,00 to $104,000 annually). When including robust benefits, defined pensions, profit sharing, and healthcare, total compensation...
