I've plugged my bluetti into the cargo 12v socket and the cord end gets really hot. I fear burning down my Bronco.
Yeah, that socket is overfused from the factory. It has a 20A rating but so many people have melted theirs (almost all charging power stations) I think it probably should be a 10A socket, or less. It is not well constructed and the wiring going to it is pretty small

I've considered wiring up my own 12v socket using 12ga wire, but now might just go with the Bluetti alternator charger. I'm also considering mounting my solar panels on top but the charger would be so much faster.

I admit I've considered the same but I don't do a lot of camping. Solar has the advantage of working even while you are parked and shut off - so if you stay in one spot for a couple of/few days or something. Whereas the alternator is always gonna be faster.

Although you could get one of those fold-up solar panels and have both... just unfold and set it up outside on a kick stand when you camp I suppose.

The foldable style is what came with my Bluetti, 2x100w. I was going to fabricate a frame with aluminum extrusion to mount on top, with the ability to pull it off and sit on the ground.

hello team! Can someone post a picture of their alternator charger cable connected to the battery posts for this EcoFlow chargers (500 or 800w)? What post did you use? The larger one that’s usually empty on broncos or did you connect before the BMS? Every time someone has asked this in other forums someone will just reference to a 20min video. Just looking for a photo of what you did!!
Thank you

I have been reading about the 12 V charge plug being fried when charging ecoflow power stations. Does the same thing happen when using the 110 plug behind the console? I have the smaller ecoflow river pro 2 power station.

I'm about to pull the trigger on upgrading to the Ecoflow as I've been running the Pecron version for a while now. It works great, however, it's supposed to put out up to 500w and I'm not sure I've ever gotten over 350w. Are you guys seeing 500+w from 800w EcoFlow alternator charger? I'd be pretty disappointed if I upgraded to it and had the same results haha!

I get 800w from my Ecoflow charger all the time when I have the Delta 2 Max plugged into it.

The only time I have seen the wattage drop is when charging the Anker, Jackery or Bluetti power stations.

Same here, 800w for me with a Delta 2 Max.

That doesn't work. You need a pure sinewave inverter to charge the ecoflow. Ask me how I know lol

At least for the Delta 2 max. I doubt the river 2 will charge off the built in inverter either.

As I said previously, that doesn't work, I've tried it. However, I had an idea last night that I'm going to try. I ordered a cheap AC/DC converter with a cigarette lighter adapter from Amazon last night. Instead of plugging into my Bronco's 12v power plug, I will plug the AC/DC converter into the Bronco's 110 inverter, then plug the ecoflow into that with using the 12v cable.

Now, it's inefficient to do it that way. Converting DC -> AC -> DC is wasteful of power. That said, I only get 80-100w out of the built in power plug, and the converter is 180w, so it would still be a net gain over what I have at the present, plus there's the lower risk of burning out the power plug. I'll try to remember to update when the converter comes in.

I don't think this will work. If your only getting 80-100w before the converter, the converter is not going to get more (by the AC > DC inversion), in fact some amount of loss (inefficiency) will occur...if you do get more then patent your process and make trillions of $ by solving the (alleged) energy crises :ROFLMAO:
