A while back i bought a mpvi3 / tune /ecu
Sat on it and never installed this.
Lo and behold, ecu no longer needed, so i moved forward.
Pulled latest ECU updates from FDRS to wipe out my whipple tune.

Pulled stock file, sent to tuner, tuner sends baseline tune..
Baseline tune loaded.
3rd gear log sent, Rev01 tune received.
Now this gets interesting, Rev01 tells me that my vehicle is unlicensed when trying to write.
Cool, emailed tuner, and a few days later , received rev02.
same issue, except the license issue pops right after loading vehicle writer

Tuner says email HPtuners, its their issue, Hptuners tells me the tune file has a different serial number.

Looking back at all baseline, rev01 and rev02, surely enough, FILE name is correct with my vin number, but inside vehicle writer, it shows a VIN that is NOT mine.

Looking for advice on what to do at the moment. I cannot flash anything, baseline, rev01 rev02 etc. loading my stock read shows checksum error now. I also cannot read the current tune because its locked, so that atleast indicates that the baseline tune loaded.

The file name has my correct vin. The vin: is way off for my bronco

Ho shit. Does it at least run?

I had an issue where HP tuners was sending credits to the wrong device, though I did have two on file. Still took a minute to figure out. Tuner addressed it and bought more credits to send to the correct device.

It's been running lol. But I need this working , got them turbos on order .
If it's not much bother. Can you check to see in the write screen. Does your vin match? .
I loaded the baseline tune, so it worked for a moment .

Our tunes are setup where we can load the same one on both broncos

Guessing the tune itself can be loaded regardless of vin loaded into it
Can confirm as that’s exactly what we’re doing. Just bought four more credits for the second bronco

So for sure you need to get your tuner involved on the same page as HPTuners, possibly even in the same email.

There have been a lot of nuances with this release, especially as it relates to the swap.

I've seen just about every error up to this point, I think lol. There are 3-4 lingering issues we can't figure out

This seems like the file you were sent was just the wrong file from you tuner. But it sounds like there is a disconnect

Got anyone from hptuners? Lol
Funniest thing is that I am running baseline tune, but now even that file says im unlicensed... No chance for flash back to stock, and FDRs has been locked out from making pcm updates now
i did not swap my ecu. so i do have a new ecu sitting around, but prefer not to go that route.

I didn’t want to tag him as I know he’s got a lot going on, but Goosetuned is who’s doing our tuning. Would highly recommend. Doing a lot of custom stuff at our request on top of what he already does.

Just the engineers, but their contacts aren't front facing.

Ah gotcha!

Got that from hptuners. Hopefully my tuner replies soon.... But it looks like I'll need new credits.

Yeah that's not HPTuners fault, that's your tuners fault.

They mixed up your original stock file with someone else.

The way HPTuners licensing is a little odd, but that's how they work so that's what we have to do

Not something I’ve ever ran into
Lol most people do not get sent a file that's labeled with their vin number correctly, but has the wrong vin number, os and calibration inside the files.... Just hope the tuner replies soon, he was copied on all the pertinent hptuners emails, indicating that this happened because there was a mix up. Now the only resolution would be the seller puts 4 new credits on my device and build an actual baseline with my stock file, instead of someone else's....
