Have you been able to try it yet?
No, thanks for the reminder. I just got my truck back yesterday evening. I’ll give it a try tomorrow.

Rev match is the only part of the tune that I really want, and I can't justify $800 for that alone. I'm going to keep my eye on this thread and fingers crossed that someone figures it out.

Thought the price was $695?

It's also what I was most looking forward to as well. And honestly it's amazing! Makes day to day driving so smooth, and I feel like it probably saves a little fuel and clutch wear.

But the extra power, smoothness, better mpgs, and A.S.S. saying where I left it are awesome too. I also plan on adding the M210 with locker in the future and it can help with that.

Do you use 87? Or the recommended 89? Better MPG isn't going to Trump the cost difference in fuel...

I only run premium. I've been driving cars tuned for 93 for decades. It's just a fact of life for me, I don't sweat it or try to reason it out. It's not breaking the bank for me. My main interest in MPGs is how many miles I can get to a tank. Especially with the tiny tank on the two door.

Just got our car back from the dealership after having the Ford Performance Tune installed, and it looks like this thread needs a revival as FORD HAS REMOVED REV-MATCHING FROM THE CALIBRATION(!). Unfortunately I now see a number of threads warning about some EPA non-sense, but the official answer I got from Ford was that the features were removed because they were "not in line with Ford Product Strategy".

What a waste as this is the only feature we were really looking for (anything else was just icing).

Wow!!!! No more temptation for the tune. I've been too busy to look into it but I'm sure someone will now.

Since I have the Ford Performance tune now, with rev-matching, I feel that I should amend my earlier post.

The rev matching is awesome! In Miami's erratic traffic, it probably adds a bit of quickness to my reaction times when the average speed goes from 75 to 25 to 55 to 15 and back to 75. It's still absolutely not needed; however, I think removing that feature from the tune is infuriating. This is why I hate CARB; I know it was them. I was in California when they really started cleaning the air and catalytic converters really do help with that and I am thankful for that. There's just no appreciable difference that rev matching makes regarding that which is why it's ridiculous that Ford had to remove it.

This manual transmission is a dream. I don't know how often you have to Fast and Furious on a daily basis, but I can't see any legitimate advantage to switching the knob. A bit judgemental, but if someone needs rev-matching in a vehicle like this, then maybe they are too lazy for a manual transmission. Give it a couple thousand miles and see if you even notice you're operating a manual transmission; it's so smooth compared to other truck (and many car) transmissions.

aka, "manuals are going away for a lot of reasons, so we're pushing people to the automatics".
