Just got this back from Ford Performance today

Hello Brian,

As you know the Rev Match feature was removed from the M-9603-B23 kit. Our goal is to provide Bronco owners with the optimal driving experience. To achieve this goal and to ensure the best possible driving experience for our Bronco customers, Ford has removed the rev-matching feature from the current software.

Any new version of the calibration, or new download to the tool will not contain the rev match feature.

I understand that you had purchased this kit for that feature and I am sorry we are not able to provide it going forward. If you wish, I can see what I can do to work with the retailer you purchased the kit from for a refund.

Thank You,

Anthony Fodera

I haven’t replied back to them yet

Part of me thinks - take the refund. They changed the product after the purchase and that’s BS - get your money back just in principle alone.

The other part of me thinks - well, so long as I never update the tune - it’s still there

The hangup - upgrading from an m190 to m210 needs the pro cal unit to perform the FAD delete.

If I update my current ProCal box to do that, I lose that tune for sure. Maybe not on the engine immediately, but I’ve lost it in the tuner box and can’t ever get it back.

Not sure if I could buy a second box, use that for the FAD delete and just not install the engine tune from the second box - and therefore keep the older tune from my current box. And if the tune gets overwrote or anything from an update I could still reflash from my original box.

Just not sure if it would also try to revert back to the m190 FAD — I don’t know if that adds a separate tune file just for the FDU distinct from the engine tune — like how it does for the steering rack. Or if you install the FAD deleted tune then revert back to stock, does the FAD delete go away too?

Just do what some had done and ziptie the FAD solenoid up out of the way. You won't need to change anything in the computer.

Just checking, you don't have 4A right?

Correct - I don’t have 4A

I was under the impression it would throw codes if it didn’t see the FAD. Yeah, if I can just unhook it and tape it off then - rock on

If it needs to see the motor, that’s a bit harder - it’s a chonky lil motor, but still possible.

I believe the ones that did it early on left it plugged in and tied out of the way.
I do remember at least one that did the conversion with the Procal and it no longer let him shift to 4H on the fly. Had to either stop or slow down to like 5mph. Might have been @Snacktime .

I'd ask if they provide shovels with their horseshit.

Mine already does that now after a FDRS AWD module update

Got the same form letter. Even less helpful than the "product strategy" or whatever they were shovelling last time. I would be less offended if they just said "We do not care, get bent."

When are you getting your 210? I might be selling mine in the spring if my bonus is enough to get the spicer unit and the steering rack upgrade. Mine is setup for a 23 badsquatch.

Hadn’t set any particular date - just know my 190 is on borrowed time. I’d be interested if my 190 hasn't died before then. I’ll keep a look out for your sale post!

I imagine it's more that their hands are tied rather than they do not care. If Ford brass says it has to go for compliance there's not a lot these people can do.

At least it appears they are sending refunds. I reminded them it is a Badlands Bronco - square block on big wheels - don't really care about MPG - it gets 15-16 all day, everyday.
