…The rev matching is awesome! In Miami's erratic traffic, it probably adds a bit of quickness to my reaction times when the average speed goes from 75 to 25 to 55 to 15 and back to 75. It's still absolutely not needed; however, I think removing that feature from the tune is infuriating. …
Appreciate the update, @Squatch! This lines up well with our original thinking for wanting the rev-matching option (even if we’d disable it sometimes for fun)…we have a new driver that we’ll be teaching with this car. Our hope was to teach them to heel-toe, but enable the rev-matching for their daily driving and inclement weather.
1. A bad downshift into a turn in a snow/ice storm can be a bad thing with a driver unfamiliar with controlling a skid
2. While it may only shave tenths of a second in your/my reaction time—it may shave a second (or more) off the reaction time of a teen…and even tenths can save lives in an emergency situation.

As far as I see it, Ford just removed the most important feature of the tune for MT owners. Hopefully someone smart in this thread figures out how to pick us up where Ford dropped us off!

Has anyone considered comparing the modules between a Bronco with rev matching to one without rev matching? Should be easy enough to find out the differences and to see if FORSCAN changes (short of module reprogramming) can enable rev matching.

Yeah @JPOKeefe was working on it. I was supposed to send him my files, but been having issues with the laptop and Forscan. And then life got in the way.

Can you change PCM strategy in forscan?
It’s not something I’ve ever tried so I honestly have no idea if it’s possible.

Since I have the Ford Performance tune now, with rev-matching, I feel that I should amend my earlier post.

The rev matching is awesome! In Miami's erratic traffic, it probably adds a bit of quickness to my reaction times when the average speed goes from 75 to 25 to 55 to 15 and back to 75. It's still absolutely not needed; however, I think removing that feature from the tune is infuriating. This is why I hate CARB; I know it was them. I was in California when they really started cleaning the air and catalytic converters really do help with that and I am thankful for that. There's just no appreciable difference that rev matching makes regarding that which is why it's ridiculous that Ford had to remove it.
I live in Boca and despise every time I have to go to Miami. Stupid family time 🤣

In the beta version of FORSCAN you can upload new software into the modules, but that's firmware programming, which isn't the same thing as changing the strategy via the as-built tables.

Although, adding modes, like Baja mode to say a Base Bronco, may be potentially altering some aspects of the PCM strategy when selecting that mode. Still that's not the same as uploading the performance tune to the PCM which certainly alters the strategy. There is much I don't understand about the Ford system as I am really a newbie when it comes to Ford electronics.

I really don't see Ford going back to adding the rev matching feature. Just like anything else, once it's taken away it's nearly impossible to get back what we once had the option to have. Really sucks, heal toe isn't comfy at all in the Bronco and I was REALLY wanting this feature. I keep looking for other tunes that have it but can't find anything.
