@Ford getting really annoyed with how bad your customer services. I’ve got a 22 big Ben 2.7 Bronco & this morning lost all brakes and got a “ check brake systetem” error message on my dash. I have Ford premium care extended warranty plan on my vehicle. I called my local Ford dealership, they stated this was a known issue back from September 2022 and there is a service bulletin/advisory about it. I was told this was not covered under my extended warranty, but reached out to another friend that works for Ford and said he pulled up my van and it certainly was covered under extended warranty.

Ford quality has definitely gone downhill, and customer service is almost nonexistent. I even have my center armrest splitting where my elbow rest. This is definitely disheartening as my family has always been a family, my grandpa even worked in Michigan back in 65 on the Mustang assembly line. I also have a 1966 Ford Mustang GT fastback that was built on my dad’s birthday birthday.

Did they actually diagnose it? Or just randomly assume what was wrong based on some bulletin?
As far as I know, the 2.7 doesn't have any bulletins related the the brake warning light coming on.
If you didn't actually bring it into the dealership, you should probably start with that.
There's no way to know what is and isn't covered without knowing exactly what the causal part is.

Why would the extended warranty even kick in? At under 3 years and 36,000 miles aren’t you still covered under the standard bumper to bumper warranty? Does the extended warranty override the standard warranty? Forgive my ignorance but I’ve never looked into extended coverage so I have no idea how they work.

Did you even bring this in? Did a dealer actually look into this issue? Or do you just like ranting? The center arm rest is another whole issue, how hard are you leaning on it, and how much weight? You can do what a lot of us did, and get an aftermarket padded arm rest.

Yes at the dealer now. They are still stating it’s software related. And not covered under the extend warranty. Called before I came in and they were able to see the error for the check brake system and the TSB that pulled up with it.

And that’s the way @Ford said they do their extend warranties. They start when you buy them and overlap which makes zero sense to me. I did get the extended warranty free from ford after my dealer having my vehicle 4 months trying to get a transfer case control module. This may be my last @Ford vehicle I purchase.

It does overlap, but the factory warranty should cover it before the extended warranty.
If you’re under 3/36, the extended warranty makes no difference and it should be covered under bumper to bumper.

I recently have had the same warning issue. I took it in for an oil change and asked about it. The what seamed to be a competent person there, had no idea and checked the fluid, and told me to try and get more info on timing, etc. Still an issue. Made another appointment.

Interesting dialogue and it points out Ford's biggest issue. Their dealers are pathetic. Not all of them, but every bad one sours the whole pool and leaves a black mark in the customer's mind. And stop with the (dealers are independent businesses) bullshit. They have your sign out front. Pay fees to you to sell the Ford product. Are your exclusive outlet to the customer and are protected from competition by the franchisor, What difference does it make to the customer how the repair is handled, warranty, recall or insurance (extended warranty) plan? Just fix the guys 50k car and thank him for the business. If I treated my customers (at much lower average transaction prices) as badly as Ford does I'd have been bankrupt 20 years ago. Hold these dealers accountable!

So anybody have anything about the issue? Mine has done it as well. Light stays on for a few minutes then goes out.

You are certainly covered by factory warranty. The ESP will not kick in until after the warranty expires so no reason to even bring this into the conversation. At this mileage, you are 100% covered against factory defects and this includes TSB, bulletins, or repairs.

Just got mine back from the dealer. They said it is the brake fluid level switch. Had to order parts. I believe that is what the service writer said. But once I get the part changed out I’ll report back.

Exact same problem I'm having. Dealer wants me to produce the problem for them but light doesn't stay on long enough to get there and I can't yet predict when the light will come on. This is driving me nuts, I'm getting impatient.
