I’m sure there are better (re: more professional) solutions for the two stud bolts. But, this worked for me.

Ordered this to install on the next fluid change. I went with it because I wanted a drain plug versus having to pull the cover every time (though I will pull it to inspect occasionally).

Do you have a link? I can only find it at one third party site and it is 200.

Yes; it is. Knowing how much metal these Dana 44 Advanteks shed for up to 25K miles or so, I will probably grab two more for the inspection and fill plugs.

Here you go--these are for Jeeps, but with the exception of the IFS in the front they are the same axles (the rear is exactly the same except for mounting locations):

I am not able to comment on why Ford specs different lubes--but can say it makes zero sense.

Good point, only questioned because the link you sent on the rear dif has that listed. I took it literally.

Dana covers both M220 ELD and Limited Slip with that spec--I should have noted that.
