You could get the kit that includes both kicker amps, 200 and 500 to support your set up.
I decided to go with the cxa 800.1 mono amp with the key 200.4 and omg. It's really too much bass but now I have total control of more or less. I decided to go with the kicker 12" down firing with the passive radior. Sound is amazing

Has anyone tried the PNP wire kit & Kicker KeyDSP 200amp hooked up with the factory speakers still installed and see how it sounds? Just curious if all those speakers still need to be replaced even after adding the DSP Key amp.

I would also think adding the baffle, boom matt, or polyfil will help too.
Factory speakers are rated at 20 watts at best. Some are keeping the 6.5 kick panel speakers and only changing the 4" in front and rear. I changes the dash and kick panel and waiting for 6.5 rear pods mod. The new upgraded speakers made an amazing difference. Even if you buy cheap 40$ jbl,Kenwood, pioneer, infinity it would be a huge improvement. Don't forget to add 300 Hertz bass blockers on front and rear if you add the key 200.

I have the exact same issue…. I ordered a kicker sub to help the low end.. Just waiting for it to arrive.
Let me know how it goes. I think the speakers sound great and can certainly handle the head unit's power. About mid-volume and they really sound good. Especially with the trip off.

Has anybody had any issues with their harness? I went to install today and had no problems hooking everything up but when we turned it on I only had sound on the driver side. When we unplugged the harness and amp and plugged it back in just factory everything worked. Taking another glance at the harness it seems so if the wires weren’t set right. This is what we found after unplugging it. Just wondering if I happened to get unlucky. Already emailed plugnplay hoping he’ll swap me for a new one to try.

USB stick. I tried the phone 3 times and it failed each time. Finally put the mp3 file on a USB stick and ran it from there, worked the 1st time. Found out later that the phone is not recommended.
I did not run new speaker wires to the dash (only down to the kick panel area). I had previously replaced both the dash and kick panel speakers using the metra harnesses. The metra harness for the kick panel speakers has "loop backs" for both the positive and negative input signal from the head unit. So the input signal comes in from the factory harness (pins 1 and 4, positive and negative respectively) into the metra harnes where it continues on the the kick panel speaker, but the loop sends the same signal from pins 1 and 4 back out to pins 2 and 3 into the factory harness which run up to the dash speaker.

So, what I did was cut that loop in the metra harnes, tap the incoming side of it (from pins 1 and 4) as the signal into the key, then run the output from the key into the other side of that loop which goes into pins 2 and 3 of the factory harness and out to the dash speaker. I then ran the other output from the key (for the kick panel) to the metra harnes and spliced into the lead from pins 1 and 4 that go into the kick panel speaker. So esentially the Metra harness is connected to the factory harness, but I cut all the wires coming out of it to use as my input into the key and receive the outputs from the key.

Doing it this way accomplished a few things:
1. No factory wires were cut/spliced/tapped or harmed in the making of enhanced audio
2. All wires to, and from, the key terminate at the same location (behind the kick panel trim)
3. No need to run new speaker wires up to the dash speakers
4. No need to remove the speakers I had already installed

Hopefully, I explained this well enough. It's hard to describe in words but if you look at the wiring diagram for the speakers and understand what the Metra harness for the kick panels looks like and what it does, it makes a lot more sense.
That's a great idea! Was this done with a PNP harness in use, or did you just wire the amp in yourself?

Thanks! I did not use the PNP harness, just wired the amp in myself.

Anyone with the Key 200.4 running into limiter issues? At 20/30 volume and gains zerod out I am hitting the limiter. Any addition to the gains and it’s riding it constantly. I feel like the speakers aren’t being pushed enough, the sound is alright but not a significant improvement over stock.

I'm running the same sub in my Bronco with the 500.1 and it really sounds great. It fills out the bottom end so much, and really brings it all together. I'm also running the 200.4 with Kicker KS speakers.

Fingers crossed someone releases a harness for the kicker amp and B&O systems. My new speakers are looking for more power!

Reader’s digest of my journey. 21 Badlands Standard package
-*OMG this sounds fkn awful*
-Replaced all speakers with Infinity Reference
-*Tolerable but still weak*
-Sourced my own Kicker Key, installed kit 11-4 during my toddler’s nap
-*YESSSSSSSSSSSSS*

I still don’t have a sub, but man this is waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of where I started. Very happy. Sub will be icing in the cake, just need to pick one out.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread!
