They didn’t make a special bumper for just the raptor. That’s not a major manufacturers play.

Just received everything but the camera relocation bracket and must say well built and the best packing job i ever got no way would the stuff be damaged.

the offroad tabs are 1.14 diameter holes however not one inch so for flat towing i add a oilite bushing to take up the slack cannot wait to get the rest of my order and dang truck to bring my raptor 34 miles from railhead to my dealer lol so i can report back on how it all went on install

How long from order to delivery?

My modules just went live this morning and I’m starting to feel confident I actually will get my truck. Time to start buying!

Asked JCR directly regarding fit on Raptor, to which they replied something like “there basically the same parts it looks like the winch plate should work”. Not super definitive as I came to the conclusion that it SHOULD work myself.

I’m going for Zeon 12 S. Vehicle Weight especially loaded drives me to the 12 as a given, synthetic is just easier and lighter and my truck will be garaged when not driven (not exposed to UV), and Zeon because I’m paranoid. I think the Evo would be more than fine for the number of times I expect to be winching initially, but I’ll spend the money just in case

I’ve been also thinking through lighting on another thread, basically understanding what I’ll have to do to change the rigid off road lights off the Aux1 (only large amp circuit) to accommodate a light bar. Seems pretty straightforward, but I regret saying those words often.

Any thoughts on lighting?
You won’t have to change the rigid off road lights of Aux1. On the raptor the Aux1 is a 10amp switch. They changed the amperage around in the switches on the raptor when I get home I can let you know what amp each switch has. I think Aux2 is 35 and 3 is 15, but I will need to double check.

My modules went live on oct 7th, still waiting for shipping.....
Ouch! Now you’re scaring me.

Hopefully, it’s Ford system not updating and you’ll get a surprise “it’s here!’ call, soon.

Thank you. Seems like you guys are the best option.
I mounted a JCR Winch Plate on my friends two door First Edition yesterday. We did the parking sensors and camera (using JCR bracket) relocations. Also installed a Warn Zeon 10S.

Neither of us are star mechanics and neither of us have torn into the front bumper, grill. No power tools were used, that would have sped things up considerably. Following along with JCR videos was very helpful.

Overall, it looks great. Build quality and fit was fantastic. It looks like it will reduce approach angle a bit, if you’re taking a ledge straight on. Hard to say sitting in my garage!

Without my Raptor in hand (sitting at MAP for 5 days now) it’s hard to say there would be no problems mounting same on it, but it seems like it should work.

Tips and warnings:

- the video offhandedly says “locate and unplug the bumper harness”. This might of been the hardest step in the entire install! The plug is located up behind the drivers headlight in a very (VERY) difficult to access position. We took the bumper end cap off to get better access, wrestling with the clip (we weren’t familiar with the mechanism), and the getting a hand on the back side of the plug to pull front out took us over 40 minutes, plus time to put back on. We left it off until late in the rebuild. Maybe other Broncos have more slack in the harness.

- parking sensor relocation. This takes a while disassembling the bumper and stripping back the harness tape. The parking sensor reached the new position on the winch plate on passenger side (the side I did) with very little room to spare. I stripped it back to maximum. I’m not sure my buddy stripped his back to the max or not and we came up short a half inch. You can’t find this out until you’re substantially rebuilt, so there was no going back. Give yourself maximum stripping at the junction to avoid splicing in the sensor later. Make sure to buy harness tape for recovering the exposed wiring. Super easy to work with.

- set up a table or clear workbench space to work on bumper disassembly and harness stripping/wrapping. JCR does that in the video, we did it on the garage floor. It sucked and took longer than needed. that’s on me.

- for the Winch….the Warn fairlead will not work with the camera relocation bracket. We ended up mounting it upside down (temporarily for installation purposes only) although Warn specifically warns you not to do that. New fairlead on order.

- routing the cables. Just about an ideal amount of cable for power and ground wires on the winch. There is a clear vertical space about the size of a quarter that drops down from near the drivers headlight to the ground. I used a wire coat hanger with a hook bent in the end, dropping it down to the bumper level then fed the cable in and hooked the cable connector (one at a time) pulling it up and through. I pulled positive with the cable housing first, then negative. It was a little tight on negative, but using a long screwdriver I was able to get it past the final obstruction. Overall that step was pretty easy with coat hanger or fish tape.

Took us about 7 hours to get everything but one parking sensor operational. The other sensor works great and camera positioning and function were perfect too. No stress test on the winch due to fairlead issue, time and darkness. No chance to test ACC. Buddy is very happy.

Great write up. Do you know why one of the parking sensors is not working?

How do you know what fairleads will work and which will not?

The Parking Sensor is actually working, but since there was insufficient slack to mount the sensor in its appointed location we had to tuck it behind the winch plate as we ran out of time.

It’s showing an immediate obstruction just like it should.

Bonus parking sensors tip. Once you’ve inserted the sensor grommet in the winch plate, use a little soap and water to make it easier to get the sensor in position. There’s not a lot of slack and not a lot of room to get a good grip on the sensor pushed in. There was a little hole in the plate that I got a finger in to help align it before the final push. Soap made it loads easier.

I can’t say what will work for sure, but I think most fairlead would work. The problem with the fairlead supplied with Warns winch, is Warn branding I think. Instead of being a perfect oval shape there is a bump out on the top to create room for the Warn Logo. This interferes with the JCR bracket that has a slight bend forward. Turning the fairlead upside down fits perfectly, and it looks like there would be no safety or operational issue, but their instructions say “don’t do it”. May be a safety issue or it maybe their bran folks who don’t want to see their logo mounted upside down.

JCR is using a Factor 55 fairlead in their images.

Thanks! I’m looking forward to your specific experience on the Raptor. I ordered my all my equipment including Factor55 1” fairlead moments ago. JCR up next on ordering.

Sadly my Raptor is sitting produced but not released to ship. Someday….

Thank you for all the information and answers.

I'm still deciding on the JCR mounting plate or a winch bumper. 85% sure it will be the JCR. Have to wait a little bit to gather up some funds. Down payment killed my checking account.

Hoping you get your Raptor soon, your going to love it.

An avid rock crawler from Florida, that's interesting...I live in British Columbia, right between the Rockies and Coastal mountains and have no issues with approach angle with this mount and my D rings fit just fine as well, only mall crawlers have these on when not off roading and the license plate has taken a beating and I really don't care what happens to it, any other creative concerns?
lol
